Chapter One- Sirius' death and the Pain1

A pained cry tore through the night and all to soon it was joined by another.3

Amber eyes shown with tears as their owner started to hyperventilate from the experience of losing yet another friend and mate.4

Thin, male, arms encircled the mans waist as his last friend, his other mate, held onto him tightly.5

When the sad and pained filled amber eyes looked down they were met with brown eyes that held the same emotions as his own.6

A whimper came out of the amber eyed man's mouth unbidden, only to be answered by a sob coming from the man who was currently hugging him like he'd disappear. Just like Sirius had just done.7

It hurt unbearably for both of the men currently entangled with each other as they tried to ward away the pain they were going through.
Because,8

Sirius had been of their pack,9

Sirius had been their friend,10

and Sirius had been their mate.11

Another choked sob came out of the brown eyed mans mouth before he spoke, his words showing how much pain he was currently in.12

"How will we live without him Remus?"13

Remus' breath caught in his thought as he looked into his remaining mates eyes. The pain there was unbearable and he knew that the same pain was in his own eyes. He wrapped his arms around the man in an effort to comfort both of them before he spoke.14

"I don't know Jake."15
