The Overthrow Of The Lord-Chapters- 1 , 2 , 3

Today was the day. The day we set off on our condeming quest , to kill the Nargul Lord. As expected Jusper was extremly nervous , besides hes only 65 ( that is young for a Dredha, considering the oldest ever Dredha was 356!) I feel sorry for him really. He has only ever killed a bear and he only killed that because i sliced its leg off with my sword. He has passed his 3 tasks to become a Dredha with flying colours but facing a Nargul is his true test.

We drank our blood ( we couldn't survive without blood , most believe that Vampires need blood and can't undertake sunlight. That is not true we need blood , but sunlight, we can withstand)
and headed down to the armoury.

All we needed was weapons , if we needed blood all we had to do was hunt for it. What makes us a good team is that we all have our own special abilitys with and without weapons , for instance , Larten is extremly fast for a Dredha and is skilled with a Bow and Arrow, whereas he isn't the strongest fighter. Jusper collected his trustworthy Mace and Shield, Burracha grapped his WarHammer ( you have never seen anyone better with it) Hulka was already wielding his throwing knifes and throwing discs and myself, cherished the thought of using my Vampiric Longsword again. Aswell as being skilled in the art of throwing preciesly Hulka also had magical powers ; the ability to heal , summon mystic creatures to aid him and the ability to bring back the dead all of which drained him of magic, for this, he carries magic vials which restore his magic. Having gearing up we were ready to set off , thus starting the quest to the Narguls underground stronghold in the Fortified Forest.

We had been walking at least 6 miles when Larten suddenly sniffed the air. ' Fresh tracks ' he snarled. After examining the tracks left, one false move or loud sound would indeed cause a hellish battle. ' Gibax ' Larten whispered. Gibax were huge monsters that normally hunted i packs of 3 , almost a cross between a bear and a troll these beasts were 4 meters in height and had blades coming out of thier hands. A creature that you shund't mess with and we were about to embark on them.

We stood in sheer terror at what lay at the bottom of the hill we stood on. 4 Gibax were digging into thier daily snack that they had obviously just hunted , a family of villagers. I quickly though of a plan of how to get round them and the truth is there wasn't one. We had to take them on. We had to take them on NOW! Our plan was to spread out across the hill . Using Hulka's Throwing knifes as a distraction and cover , Burracha and i would storm down the hill and meet the Gibax head on. Jasper would then flank from the side and finish the job off. I gave the nod and Hulka launhed a flurry of knifes at the targets. As i was running down i suddenly noticed something we had overseen , In the far trees behind the Gibax were 3 more of thier kind and they had been watching us !!!

CHAPTER 2

Burracha was already half way down by the time i screamed at him to retreat. It was to late. He met the 3 Gigax head on thinking he could take them , unknown to him 3 more were charging from the trees behind them. 'Burracha' i bellowed, i needed to act quick Burracha was already swinging his WarHammer at his 3 oppenents. Jusper , at the knick of time , noticed the on-coming danger and acted hastily. he threw his Shield at the first Gigax that had came from the tree. It hit the on-comer head on and almost instantly knocked it to the floor. The other 2 soon noticed the threat and charged at Jusper. Burracha in the meantime had already taken 2 of his enemies at the bottom of the hill , just the third stood in his way. Larten , who had taken up a spot in a nearby tree set aim with his Bow. ' Ping ' , 'Ping.' The third Gibax that faced Burracha suddenly fell to the floor with a thud , 2 arrows pierced into his skull. A quick grateful nod from Burracha to Larten and then we set to help Jusper. The young Vampire was struggling , having only just blocked the dangerous attack that came from one of the Gibax. I was ahead of the group and leaped at the foe. It saw me coming and ducked instictivly. A near miss. 'ping' ...'ping'....2 arrows whizzed into its left arm. A large disc came flying from Hulka and only just missed the Gibax's head. With a quick swing from its sharp claws cut my left cheek , i yelped in pain. Blood was flowing all down my face and it hung over me trying to finish the job. I could see Burracha still at the bottom of the hill ( he was a slow Vampire) , the Gibax raised its arms and was going to finish me off.

I shut my eyes. It was my time to go up there ( Vampires believed that when they die they go to a better, harmonic place called Eralas) I looked at the Gibax and it drove its arms down fast. I felt a large thud and an almightly pain on my chest. I glanced in disbelief , i was alive. The Gibax had landed on me from . . . . a spear ? ? ? I shifted the big monster off me and stood up. Burracha and Hulka stood infront of me gazing at , what seemed to be, a cloaked woman with a spear in her hand. ' Thankyou ' i whispered. ' Burracha' i called ' who is this grace' The woman whipped off her cloak and it fluttered away in the wind. ' My name is Dalmina' she answered.

We set up camp at the bottom of the hill. Hulka made a bonfire and put the dead bodies of the Gibax on them. We decided to do that to hide our tracks , just in case someone came alone. I asked Dalmina who she was , where she was from and why did she save me. Dalmina was once married to the old General of the Dredha , Rallos zek. I had heard many tales about his brave couragous battles with the Nargul and his on-going triumph. I I never actully thought they was true. For many years Dalmina had studied under him learning the ways of the Vampire. He blooded her when she was a teenager ( in order to become a Vampire you have to have a sacred ritual called Halmintara It is were the nails of the Vampire are inserted into your fingertips and blood is traded ,after that you have been blooded) She told us that ever since the Nargul Lord killed her husband, she has had a vengence to once and for all avenge her dead lover. ' I was given news that 4 Dredha was given a mission to kill The Nargul Lord. I quickly caught onto your smell and watched you a while. Lucky for you i stepped in when i did' ' And i will be eternaly gratefull' i replied. Dalmina was deadly with a spear and could track a mammal 20 miles away just by its scent. We each took it in turns to keep watch while the others slept ( Vampires didn't need much sleep , but after our start to the day it seemed best) At the crack of dawn we would set off North, towards the Cursed Lagoon.

CHAPTER3

Dawn broke and i awoke feeling refreshed and alive. 'NOOOOOOOOOOOO JUSPER' I rushed towards the top of the hill from where it came from. Burracha was knelt besides what seemed to be a mace......Jusper's mace. ' Something has taken him' he broke into tears and wheeped. ( Burracha and Jusper were close ever since Burracha taught him every night how to fight) 'Its ok we will find him' i tried to sympothise him but deep down , judging by the amount of dry blood on the grass , i knew he was dead.

Dalmina assessed the blood and soon told us 'Warpigs' had taken him ( Warpigs were highly interlectual pigs that had evolved into humans, but kept their previous heads) Dalmina told us that their smell was strong so they were close by. Unfortuantly she had to leave us at this stage in our quest but promised we would meet soon enough. Having said our goodbyes she instructed us to head east of the blood for about 3 miles , there we would encounter Jusper's Killers ( I decided not to tell Burracha that i thought Jusper was dead , just in case)

The group seemed to be shaken at the departure of Dalmina. They seemed to grow a relationship with her she was like the mother of the group. But still we had to find Jusper , Dead or alive. Flowers seemed to stretch beyond even a Vampires sight , sparkiling pools and lush green trees was our setting. It seemed almost strange that this was the same setting bloody battles had taken place. We decided to stop at a nearby lake and take a rest. The others washed and replenished , but i on the other hand , could not. While one of my men is either dead or being tortured to their bear wits , i can not relax. Whatever the outcome of Jusper we have to keep a clean mind on the situation, as we can not indure another casualty. After drying off and polishing our weapons, we set off on the final stretch of the beautiful sceneary. After walking about 6 minutes Hulka's nose started twitching furiously. ' We are near ' he snarled. As we hid in the nearby bushes, in the distance we could see fire and the vague outline of . . . Warpigs! We where near to finding Jusper and coinsidently another battle.

    chapter 3 moderate

chapter 3 was not as good as chapter 2
    a bit too short
the content was good but at the begining there seems too be a huge gap and just a bit coinsidental that he wakes up at the time of jusper been found missing.
