Memories
By: W. Peter Sanci Date: Feb. 15 / 2007
A lonely snail I did happen to see on my
walk today.
What wonderful memories it did conjour
Up in my mind.
Nana cooking bablose in her special sauce.
She let them crawl around the kitchen,
before they met their gruesome fate.
The whole house smelled of garlic when
you walked in the door.
T hen when you tasted them for the first time ……….. Wow.
What a beautiful walk I had this morning.

Excellent !
This is one of my very favourite poems. Because it takes me back to a time when I was younger and my nana was around, She was the best cook in the world,at least to me. And one day she made me try these snails. Ugh I thought but wnen I tried them they were delicious. Bever judge a book by it's cover.
