A piece of white paper was being pulled out of the envelope without any wording on it. Dango swiped his hands slowly on the paper and found something weird. The paper had some pop up lines which eyes couldn’t be seen clearly. Dango asked for some pen and Melea took out one from her pocket and gave it to Dango. He used the pen and scribbled the whole paper and some letters appeared slowly, stroke by stroke. It became clearer as Dango flash each line on the paper and finally, the floating words was shown completely.1

“God’s hiding place: Gundano Warehouse”2

“Yosh! Let’s go!” said Melea and she stood up. She turned her head towards Lina and said, “Lina, you have to stay here and wait for us to come back. Before that, don’t go anywhere outside the hotel’s premises.”3

“Lina” said Dango, “Here’s something for you, a dagger and a pair of silver chopsticks.”4

“What’s this?” Lina pointed the chopsticks.5

“It’s for testing out the food. For safety, I bought it long time ago. Although it’s not widely used now…the chopsticks will turn into red colour when it is dipped into poisonous food.”6

Lina picked up her chopsticks and the dagger and looked before hiding them into her pocket. They went out of Dango’s room and it’s where Lina bid goodbye to them. “Be careful!” shouted Lina as she watched her saviours going off to her brother. Melea looked back as she watched Lina walked back to her room and shut the door. She continued walking until her background disappeared completely.7

“Dango, where are we going now?” said Melea.9

“Equipment store”10

“Where is it?”11

“Follow me and you will know it.”12

Thus, Eugene and Melea followed Dango as they walked out of the hotel and turned right towards the main streets. In front of them was a bunch of tall and high buildings, buses and cars moving fast along the traffic lights and people walking around, making turns and walking straight. There were also small shops where people going in and coming out with bags and smile on their face. 13

Just as Melea going to walk to the other end of the street, Dango turned right again to one of the dark alleys.14

“Mel” Eugene called towards Melea. Melea turned back and saw Eugene pointing with his index finger, he then walked into the alley and Melea followed. 15

“Hey! What did you just call me?” shouted Melea. 16

Eugene replied in a cold tone, “Mel”.17

Melea wanted to argue about her new nickname but she smiled instead as she was one step nearer to Eugene. Melea fasten her footstep until she was just behind Eugene and Dango. The journey continued as they turned around the alleys liked walking into an endless maze.18

“Dango, how long will it take before we reach the mysterious shop?”19

“Who knows? Just walk.”20

Melea stop talking as she was too tired and continued moving her legs. Left and right, they walked deeper into the maze until Melea saw something on the wall. “Three turns more” and one arrow was pointed to the front direction. Melea saw some more writings as she turned for twice and finally, they reached the shop. It looked different from the previous shops as there wasn’t a door. In fact, it shaped like a stall which was build under the building. The inner was about the same size but there wasn’t any lights which made people hardly see anything.21

“Hello? Anyone there?” shouted Dango.22

Some dark figure lurked out of the darkness and it was a middle-aged man who wore apron with white T-shirt and black pants. As the stall covered half of his legs, they couldn’t see the shoes that he put on. 23

“Welcome! Ah…it’s you again. I thought I sold you one hundred bullets last month? You are pretty fast in using guns. Is it the same for today?” said the shopkeeper.24

“Yes, hundred bullets and some other weapons for my two disciples.” Dango replied.25

As soon as Dango finished his orders, the shopkeeper turned to his left and some knocking sounds came out from the left side of the shop. Then, the door opened.26

There was indeed a door! It was amazing! There weren’t any loopholes! Perfect for a mysterious shop which sold weapons. Melea thought.27

The door was finally widely opened and the three of them went in. It wasn’t as dark as it seemed from the outer view and some weapons could be clearly seen, especially those sword families. The shopkeeper’s shoes were finally revealed but they were as dark as the shop which gave them a clue, it was in black and covered shoe. 28

“Our weapons are all here, swords and blades are on the wall, if you want daggers, you have to move inner, and they are all in the glass cupboard.” 29

“As for you, please wait a moment, I have to fetch the bullets you specify.” The shopkeeper said as he went into the shop storeroom. 30

Eugene and Melea walked around the shop as they saw different styles and shapes, each of them shines themselves proudly in the dark shop while Dango stood at the opposite side, looking at the different types of guns hanging themselves on the wall. However, they were all in black colour unlike the sharp and silver-coloured blades and daggers.31

“Melea” said Dango as he turned his face towards Melea, “you should get yourself a pair of short sword and some throwing daggers as your weapon.” He then turned to Eugene and said, “Eugene, you know what you need so I don’t have to remind you.” Eugene smiled as he chose a white coloured sword with black stripe tied at the sword handle.32

Melea walked towards the short sword and daggers section where she stared at a particular pair of short sword. It has a black handle and the blade was separated into two.33

This is what I need. Melea thought and she stood beside it.34

Melea eyes turned to the glass cupboard which stood in front of her. There were lots of daggers inside the cupboard and she walked nearer to have a closer look. Melea moved her head down as she focused to one of the daggers. She smiled at it as the dagger had the same pattern style which matched the short sword she wanted. Melea looked at the tag in front of the dagger, “Draco-twin: twenty pairs” I take it. 35

At last, Eugene and Melea set their eyes on the weapons they wanted and the shopkeeper came out of the storeroom. Everyone looked at him with their view fixed.36

“Looks like the two kids had their choice chosen. Here you go, gunner,” said the shopkeeper as he passed a small brown box to Dango. “Thanks.”37

“I want this” said both Melea and Eugene as they pointed their swords. “And this,” Melea added on, pointing to the pair of dagger.38

“How much you need?” The shopkeeper asked while looking at Melea.39

“Make it five pairs and a normal one plus a dagger belt. I need to give it to my future member,” said Dango. Melea smiled and nodded. 40

Then, the shopkeeper took the weapons they specify and put them on the table. He went into the storeroom again to fetch the five pairs of dagger. As the shopkeeper gathered them, Dango paid him while Eugene and Melea took their weapon and feel them.41

“Let’s go.” Dango said as he bid farewell to the shopkeeper and went out of the door. The others followed.42

“Where are we going now? To the warehouse?” asked Melea while Eugene still holding on to his sword.43

“Nope, the time is not ripe. Both of you have to familiarise with your weapons and God will not be there before night fell. We still have some time before that.” 44

“I suppose you are right, I am not sure if I have the ability to wield this weapon, I don’t have the feel.” Melea replied as she looked down to her short sword and those daggers.45

“I know there is a place suitable for practice and it’s not far from the warehouse. So bear with me as we need to make more turns before we get the secured place.”46

“What! Turns again! Okay…alright…” Melea replied as she sighed. 47

They walked back to their original route and after three turns, they went into a different direction and continued their endless maze. 48

Half an hour later…49

“Finally, we reached!” Melea yelled as she inspected the new environment, “eh? Forest again, is this the nice place you said, Dango?”50

“This isn’t an ordinary forest, the trees you see here aren’t lined properly but it’s good for practicing fights. Behind the forest will be the cliff and down below is the ocean. It is rumoured that people will not survive if they fall into the sea water because of its powerful currents. Thus, don’t underestimate here as the previous one. If you see this as a top view, you will know what I mean.” 51

Dango added, “As for the practice, you will spar with Eugene. I will be on top of the tree to shoot random bullets. You have to practice attacking while dodging those bullets. This is to test your ability on handling God. If you can’t even pass this test, chances are, you will die without fight back. Am I clear?”52

“Yes” said Melea while Eugene nodded.53

“Same rules as before” said Dango as he jumped to one of the tall trees.54
