Samiel knelt in front of Lucifer, head on his knee. She had to admit, the vessel, Nick, was cute. However, Castiel and his vessel were sweeter, kinder. Not to mention, both were handsome. She watched Lucifer trace patterns on the window, Enochian symbols.1
Lucifer looked down and pet her, watching her sad eyes. He sighed, knowing what he was doing had earned this reclusiveness from her. If he wasn't so stubborn, he'd let her go back to the Winchester's and their angel hounddogs. He knew, however, that they would come again; and maybe he'd tell them to take her and get away with it. After all, he could lie well.2
He was Lucifer, wasn't he?3

Gabriel watched Sam and Dean sleep, each snuggled into the comforter of the hotel bed. Thalia was sitting at the table, sucking single noodles into her mouth from a Chinese food bucket. 5
"You require sleep, if you are to help us." Cas' gruff voice informed the young girl. Thalia glanced up, chopsticks half to her mouth. Gabe raised an eyebrow; it was adorable. Her pale eyes were wide, mouth open in a slight 'o'. 6
"I'm fine, I sleep plenty. But I'm hungry, and this Chinese is amazing. Thank you, Gabriel," the angel saluted her, swirling his tongue around the cotton candy sucker in his own mouth.7
"Sure thing, sweetheart. Now, you wanna tell us just how you know the boys?"8
Thalia leaned back, tapping the sticks on the food pail as she though. "Well, me and Sam went to the same highschool for a bit. Then, my mom was killed by a Skinwalker. I really hate those things, tricky buggers."9
"And you became a hunter?"10
"Sorta, I guess. I hunt.."11
"But?"12
"She's an Elementalist, Samiel told me." Cas interupted, wincing at the female Angel's name. 13
"You really like her, huh?" Thalia asked, sipping at her Pepsi and watching Castiel. He refused to look at her, choosing to settle into one of the chairs. 14
"She is family. She is also the only friend I have as of late, angel wise. Gabriel does not count."15
"Ouch, bro."16
"You sent me who-knows-where," Cas growled. Gabriel shrugged, pushing out of the chair and towards Sam's bed where he quickly curled up under the blanket with him. Cas shook his head, standing and motioning for Thalia to follow. The ravenette stood up and followed; still clutching to the food. He led her to the room next door, where two beds still occupied. 17
She sat down on the one nearest the bathroom, it must've bene a girl thing, CAs thought. Dean always asked for the one by the door and Sam... well, Sam was Sam.18
"Sleep."19
"Yessir." she yawned back, opening her bag and slipping out of her dress. Cas politely turned away, stiding towards the bed and awkwardly sitting down on it. He heard the other bed creak and glanced at Thalia, who was clipping her hair up. Her dress was replaced by an oversized tee shirt.20
"I will wake you when we must leave." 21
"Night Castiel."22
"Good night." he said, moments after the girl fell asleep. He stared out of the open window, up at the fullmoon. He prayed that Samiel was still herself when they finally got her. He sighed, rubbing his eyes. She had been trying to say something, but someone woke her up..23
*******24
Samiel eventually made her way back to her makeshift room, limping slightly. She stifled a sob as she felt the blood from one of Lucifer's abrasions drying on her chest where his head had been. She felt disgusted with herself, and wondered how long it would be before he found her, should she run away. She sighed, crashing into the bed and groaning. 25
"Perhaps I should..." she murmered, rolling over to stare at the moon. "Maybe Cas could..." she sighed. "But would they work..." She sighed again, falling into a restless sleep.26
******27
Castiel had tried to sleep. He had wanted to see her in his dreams. He wanted to know she was okay. However, his dreams were filled with other things; that left him feeling weary when he woke.28
Then, they were on the road. Well, Dean, Thalia and the angels were. Sam had been forced to stay at the room, after many whispered promises from Gabriel. Here I go again on my own, going down the only road I've ever known.29
And all too soon, they stood in front of the warehouse. Castiel actually gasped, when he saw a crying Samiel pass one of the windows. Then scowled when he saw Lucifer wiping blood away from his mouth, blood that he was certain had come from his friend.30
"Cas, calm down." Dean said quietly, as Gabriel led the way inside. They weren't stopped by any of the demons crawling around the warehouse, it was odd... and unnerving. Lucifer was waiting for them, sitting on a bucket. 31
"Hello brothers, Dean. No Sam... what a shame... but you aren't here for that."32
"No, we are here for Samiel." Cas growled, body tense beneath his trench coat. "Give her back."33
"As you wish..." he nodded towards a tall, blonde demon. "Beelzebub, if you would?"34
"Of course." th demon left, leaving the others alone with Lucifer in tense silence. Lucifer leaned back, inspecting his deteriorating finger nails. The blonde returned, Samiel in tow.35
A very bloodied, beaten Samiel who looked like her spirit had been crushed.36
"Samiel," Castiel breathed, closing the gap between them quickly, and wrapping her arms around her tightly. She leaned into him, eyes closed and clinging to the trenchcoat.37
"Are you a dream?" she asked quietly, inhaling his scent. She buried her face into the crook of his neck, breath shakey. Gabriel kept his eyes on Lucifer, both him and the hunter backing away from Lucifer.38
"As great as this little reunion is-" Gabriel began, only to be cut off by Dean.39
"We gotta go, now, Cas." the angel almost twitched, but pulled her outside. Lucifer watched, sadndess in his blue eyes. Thalia ran after them, not realising she had lagged. She quickly caught up, breathing heavily and climbing into the front seat by Dean. Cas and Gabriel had Samiel between them. She was leaning on Castiel, refusing to release his coat. Dean drove, pushing the Impala to driving faster from the warehouse. Needless to say, they saved alot of time. And ran multiple red lights.40
Samiel passed out as the angel's mojo'd her into the room by Sam who jumped. The girl looked like hell. She had scratches, scars, bruises and.. were those really bite marks?41
Castiel brushed the girls hair away as Gabriel did his best to heal her. Thalia and Dean ran through the door, the former running into the latter when he stopped. They had stripped Samiel, to clean her wounds.42
Enochian symbols were barely visible on her vessel's rib. Lucifer couldn't find her again.43
An hour later, Samiel woke up to tan cloth. And black cloth... white and dark blue. She felt each fabric. Trench coat, dress coat, button up, tie... She dared look up into Cas' face, his eyes were closed and his breath deep.44
He was asleep. And he was adorable. She smiled slightly, pushing herself up and mojoing out to buy them coffee.45
Samiel's had someone to come home to but like a lot of things that were different, she hadn't had someone like Castiel to come home to. It wasn't new having a family that cared if she came home but it was new actually putting conscious thought into making sure she tried to come home. Just like it wasn't new for her to trust someone but it was new that she trusted someone so easily. 46
Cas made it easy to trust with his open honest face, the easy way he strung words together, when he lied to one of the family his eyes would twitch between the one he was lying to and the sky. Like he thought God always knew when he lied. It wasn't just the Father. It wasn't the first time Sam had worked with a team; it was just the first time she hadn't had to double cross a team.47
Castiel was flustered when she came back, glaring at her. She froze, holding tighter to the cardboard tray holding the coffee. "Why would you think it was okay to leave, after what happened? You had us all scared, worried."48
"Cas-"49
"What the hell made you think you could leave without a word to anyone?"50
"Cas-"51
"I was worried!"52
"Castiel!" he stopped, blinking and looking down at her. "I'm sorry, I was out getting coffee.."53
"Oh... please, do not scare me like that again."54
"I'll try..."55
"Can we talk now? About the other day?"56
"I... I guess..." she set the tray down, handing him his coffee and hugging tightly to her own as she sat on the window seat. He sat next to her, watching. "What about it?" she asked quietly, when it was clear he wouldn't jump right in.57
"Where do we now... stand, as Gabriel puts it."58
"I... I..."59
"You?" Hashmed watched from a corner. 60
"Just tell eachother already! We're tired of it!" the two jumped, turning to stare at her.61
"W-we?"62
"Yes, we." a male voice responded. A tall black haired man stood behind Hashmed, white wings stretched out behind him. Another with darker red wings nodded, and a third man with his arms around the former stretched out his own black wings.63
"Af, Hashbeth, Ketzeph..." 64
"Aw, can't forget us," she looked at a blonde angel with pure snowy white wings, and a taller angel with blue wings. Iofiel and MalachRa.65
"Get out!" Castiel actually yelled, pointing at the door. THe angels pouted, with the exception of Hashbeth and Af, and exited. Hashbeth glared, sticking her tongue out as she closed the door. The angel of THursday sighed, turning back to the blushing Samiel.66
"Right.. I love you, Cas, you know that. You're my bestfriend and... I love you more than I should..."67
"I love you as well."68
"But, is it that way?"69
"It's in every way. Sister, friend... Mate."70
"M-Mate?"71
"If you want." Castiel looked so serious, Samiel felt her heartbreak. She really wanted to, she did... "You do..."72
"Yes... Now, please, just kiss me already." she demanded, sliding over and setting her hand over his. He smiled, threading his fingers with her and making Samiel smile. He leaned forward, kissing her gently.
