Hitchhiker of Death

Wonder fills my eyes when I stare out into the darkened road; a figure lurks in the darkness seeming to swagger from side to side almost stumbling over as it drags its bent and somewhat twisted feet.

As we close in, we can make out a silhouette of a person, the arms are raised out in front of it, like you do when it's to dark to even see in front of your face, and you’re trying to avoid bumping into something.

The features are unclear, too much shadow covers the things face, plus the things about ten feet ahead of us, and my eyes aren’t that good, but something inside tells me that it is not what it seems, the way it moves is somewhat unsettling. The figure walks up to the car, and around to the window, mom rolls down the window to speak to the person, "Do you need a ride, it's a bit cold out for walking" she exclaims. She turns on the car light to see the persons face, well what's left of it, and screams, a rotting corpse stands just outside her window, thick ooze seeps from a large gash on it's face spilling onto the ground, smashed teeth line it's mouth dripping with saliva, one eye is gouged out, worms and maggots squirm in the blank eye, pouring out onto the cold road, the creature reaches in and grabs a hold of her wrist trying to yank her out through the window, she screams pulling her arm away, but not before the creature bites her. She twists the handle closing the window; the arm separates and drops into her lap, the hand begins to squirm on her lap, and tries to grab a hold of her leg; she opens the window some distance away and throws the decapitated arm out into the cold wet snow, then rolls it back up again in a hurry.

She holds her left hand over the bite mark trying to stop the on flowing blood that seems to spill from between her fingers, her face begins to grow pale, she begins to swerve, and her hands release the wheel, the car goes over the side of the road and crashes into a tree, I’m sent flying through the windshield into the tree ...

I awaken drenched in sweat, it was just a dream, thank god, for a minute there I thought that... then I look toward my door,” Mom, what are you doing", "Brains" she cries lunging at me. Her fingers wrap around my arms, and she throws her head forward and bites into my neck, then begins chewing on my throat, "Nooo god noo, aghhh, glub, gurgle, no..ooo! Pleaaaseee!

Please tell me what you think
