We sat in the car for what seemed like a long time. Milly was silent now. I had told her everything, I did lie a little though. Now we just sat quietly in the car. I was staring down at my hands, which were folded on my lap. She was starring out the driver side window. After a couple minutes I started to go over the conversation in my head.2

We got into the car and she turned to me, waiting. I cleared my throat.5

" I don't know where to start." I said.6

" How much do you know about us." She asked narrowing her eyes at me. I shrugged. Lie, that little voice in my head whispered.7        You need to.

" I was sent here to work for you, I don't know why, and I don't really want to know, but that man that you saw with me was trying to warn me about being careful when I am around you. I think." I said frowning. " I used to know him and I think I said something to make him mad -- he gets upset easily." I added. She stared at me for a moment before continuing.8

" So you don't know why he called me a vermin." She hissed the word. I made my eyes widen and shook my head. " Ok, do you want me to tell you?" I bit my lip and shook my head. " What did he mean by 'it could have killed you'?" 9

" I told him that I had cut my head and Nick helped me when I was bleeding, and he just went off on me." It was the truth. She nodded.10

" You shouldn't have let Nick help you, but I can see that you are alright now so...." I don't really think she knew how to finish. " Do you know what he was?" She asked more intent than before.11

" He told me he was a hunter." She let out a big breath and relaxed a little.12

" Ok, why were you two even talking in the first place." I was at a lose for words. " Do you know him, is he related to you, what?" She threw her hands up in confusion.13

" I-I don't know miss." I said folding my hands in my lap.14

" Well I doubt you would just tell some random guy that you got hurt." She stated.15

" I know." I said looking down.16

" So what, are you like a spy or something." She finally asked. I looked up with wide eyes. My mouth opened but nothing came out. " No...." She said with wide eyes. She scooted back against the door. I looked her in the eyes for a moment then something came to me. I had to tell her another lie.17

" I was, I was sent here to watch you without getting anyone suspicious, that was my main goal about two months ago, now my main goal is to break away from all this nonsense." I said and took another breath. " I didn't know what I why I was assigned to watch you like I said before but now that I know you and your family I don't want to go through with the goal, I want to be free." I said my voice cracking every now and then. I looked down again and we sat in silence.18

" I trusted you July." She accused. 19

" I'm sorry and I would have told you sooner but he would have killed me." I brought the fake tears again. I wiped one of my eyes and sniffed. She shifted so she wasn't facing me any more.20

" I need to know if you are being absolutely honest with me, and that you do not want to be a spy anymore." She whispered. 21

" I am." My voice cracked again. I wiped my eyes again. She sighed.22

" Ok." Then every thing was silent.23

Now we are back to where I started. I sighed and she looked at me. I looked at her and she smiled slightly. Well her lip twitched and I count that as a smile.25

" What are we going to do now?" I asked.26

" I don't know." She whispered and I knew there was a 75% chance that I just won.27

Oh my god what do I do now. She was a spy and she always has been. I feel so betrayed. If she really means what she said then....29

I need to know more about her. I can't believe that not even an hour ago I actually thought of her as a sister. Now what do I think of her as?30

" Why don't you want to be a spy anymore?" I asked her. She took a moment to think then looked me straight in the eyes.31

" I don't really know what I was assigned to look for, I want to be free and not tied down like being a spy made me feel, and you and your family are the only things that I have that are close enough to an actual family to me now." I was shocked. She looked at us like we were her family? " I haven't had a family since I was seven." She said looking down at her hands again. I didn't know what to think, I didn't even know what to say. I can't tell my parents mother would be crushed and father would kill her. Not in the literal meaning... I hoped.32

" We can't tell my parents." I said. She looked at me wide-eyed and shook her head.33

" No please don't they will get rid of me, I don't want to leave." We couldn't tell my siblings either. None of them would understand like I would.34

" We can't tell my brothers, and sister." I said looking forward.35

" Especially not Will." She agreed. Will would tell our parents as soon as we told him.36

" Ok." I said. I looked at her and she looked sad.37

" I'm so sorry, I was going to tell you eventually I just didn't know how and I didn't know how you would take it." She said quietly. I nodded.38

" It's ok, I understand how hard it was to tell me now." I said emphasizing "now". I leaned over and rubbed her hand. She looked over at me quietly. I smiled and straightened up. " Don't worry, it's going to get better and we will tell them when the time is right."39

I started the car and we headed home. I hope we can tell them soon.
