    hmmm

    Heh. Today's theme is "legs!"

I liked these. Especially the first. VERY especially the first.

A long time ago I was looking at this photography book in the library. It didn't have very many words in it - only famous photographs throughout history.

There was this one photograph that, on first glance, seemed like a boring nature photograph of grassy hill under a bright sun. Then little details caught my eye, like some Where's Waldo from Hell. There were fingers over by the wild flowers. And by the tree was a foot. And, embedded in the grass right in the center of the photograph, there was a spinal cord trailing down from a headless neck.

It was a war photograph from some African country. It was what had happened to a soldier after he'd stepped on a landmine.

Your first sentence really, really reminded me of that picture. I haven't thought about it in ages, but now I can't get it out of my head.

    Great great job on this.
