Demon Affairs (Part 5)

((Like the others, My parts will be in --'s))

“Yes, Babea” Varion answered. He stared into the sky now, feeling a long ways from his slave girl. “What’s in Brazen?” the demon asked, his eyes held a sleepy look as he continued to play with the bottle in his hand.
~
“North? What’s in the North?” Mace asked, a strange look on his face. What if they ran out of time? This thought frightened him. He would have to stay with Layna if his mistress died.

Casey gladly accepted the tuna, eating it happily. Mace and Jen followed Jerek to the other room, but the lynx proceeded to beg for food. Maybe she would get a fishy meal as well.
~
Camilla continued to watch the silvery blue under the blue water. “Show yourself!” Camilla commanded. A beautiful water demon pushed hard with her fin, coming out of the water. She changed into her land legs as she gracefully landed on the deck. Camilla brushed back her blonde hair and stared coldly at the woman.

“I’m seeking Felipe,” Cen said. Her red eyes peering into Camilla’s blue ones.

“Why the h*** are you here?” Camilla asked, ready to protect herself.

“Question is, why are YOU here? Felipe never spoke of you.” Cen smiled sweetly. She ignored the threatening snarls from the tiger, focusing her attention on Camilla.
~
Mallary had made another kill, simply slitting the throat of her prey. He bled on the top of the building and she watched in interest as it ran off the side. It really was a tall structure. Then her eyes found the dead man again. He looked so serene, laying peacefully on his back. She moved over to him, wings tucked back. Her heart was racing. She slowly stripped him of clothes and kissed his cold lips. She moved her hands along his body before stripping herself of her clothes. She stared into his glassy eyes as she had her way with the soulless body.

--- “Soren is in Brazen, he’s taken quite a few things of ours and our guests, along with other people from where we last left from. We were asked to track him down and return the items to their owners. We also have other business there that I would rather not discuss in front of you,” Jared looked over at his map. It would take them atleast a week to reach the place. “What’s in that?” he pointed to the bottle that Varion held in his hands.
~
“I dunno,” Jerek shrugged as the boy asked him a question. “There’s lots of places up North. I hear that’s where most of the fire people stay. He looked over his shoulder. He was sure somebody was there. He sat down in one of the chairs, it was soft on his bum. He wondered when the food would be here.
~
He looked up from his paining as he heard his name spoken aloud. Someone needed him. He stood up and followed the voices across the length of the ship. Cen. He smiled, he hadn’t seen her for a year atleast. “Hello there stranger!” he shouted across the closing gap. Felipe brushed his dark hair from his face. There was now only a few inches between them. He hugged her, “How have you been?” he couldn’t keep the excitement from his voice.
~
“La dee dadee da!” Lyra hummed as she busied herself cleaning the rooms. She loved cleaning. She eyed the dusty boy and tsked. This was unacceptable. She got her feather duster ready and attacked. He looked better now, she smiled. It was her old playmate. That was before Elara came into the picture. She smiled. Maybe Cordelia would bring life to her friend tonight. She smiled.
~
A newcomer was on board! He was about to let the captain know, but Felipe showed up. He seemed to know the female. He watched them interact a bit before deciding it was time to head in for a bit. He sat a glass eyeball in a groove on the crows nest before heading down. This allowed him to always be able to see what was around them at all times.

The smell of freshly cooked sea creatures was alluring. He made way to his lover. The knob turned easily in his hand. Stealth was on his side today. The door opened wide making no sound whatsoever. Watching Avie do his thing was a total turn on. He snuck up behind the boy and embraced him. “Hello there my love,” he whispered into his ear. He pulled him closer to himself and kissed him on the neck.

Xavier was slightly surprised by this. Mostly by how quietly Tuvan had been. He squirmed as his neck was kissed. He longed for their lips to touch once again. He tried to turn around, but the grip was too tight. He bit his am playfully. “I need to bring the food out. It’s time for us to eat, help me put this on the table?” The hold on him was released.

The food had all been moved, and the bell rung letting the others know to come. ---

Varion nodded, taking in the information. It seemed this would be everything he would get from Jared. “This?” he asked in a curious tone. “Blood,” he answered, eyes flashing. So Jared was full of curiosity as well. This thought excited Varion, causing him to become slightly hyper. “You want it?” he asked, laughing.
~
Cen giggled excitedly when she heard Felipe’s voice. Camilla gave a dumbfounded look and sighed. So Felipe knew this woman. Camilla stepped back toward Noni. Cen found herself in Felipe’s arms and smiled. She had missed him. “Felipe, you look great!” the water demon complimented. “I’ve been great!” she added.
~
As the bell rang Mace and Jen listened to the footsteps of those coming to eat. Candy stood beside Jen, staring at the food which she could not eat. Jen was happily passing food under the table for Casey to eat.
~
Mallary shivered slightly in the wind. The body had been buried after Mallary took the choice bits she wanted. She had taken the man’s heart and lungs. She figured she could cut the heart into little pieces and put it in the lungs. That would make a nice meal. She was headed back to the ship to share her food with anyone who wanted it. Her black wings carried her swiftly, a white blur in the blue sky.

--- Jared’s eyes flashed over the vial once more, “Blood?” His eyebrow shot up and once again he turned his attention back to the sea, “I don’t drink blood anymore.” He head the ding that meant it was lunch time and whistled for his replacement. A silvery apparition stood before him and saluted. “I like the taste of the soul better,” he said as he turned around. “Are you hungry? Would you like to join us?” He began walking towards the stairs, not waiting to hear the answer.
~
He pulled himself from her and looked her up and down, “That’s great!” He couldn’t think of much to say, he was too excited and shocked to think. He heard Jared’s whistle and turned to see the red-head walking down the stair. Lunch. “You must join us for lunch!” Felipe grabbed her hand and started towards the dining room.

Noni watched as they took off. She watched the pretty girl as she walked beside Felipe. Who was she? She turned back to the other female, “Let’s go eat!” she grabbed Camilla’s wrist, “Food is fuel!” She lead the blonde to the eating area, they were last to arrive.
~
“So, how are you today?” she looked at her patient, he dark blue hair sparkled in the light.

“I’m good,” the male started, “but I think I’m coming down with something. I---” she didn’t wait for him to finish, the ax slid smoothly, his head fell to the ground. It started to rain crimson, she sat up a pan to catch it and put the head on a platter. She pushed her fingers into his eye sockets and pulled out the eyeballs. She examined the first one over closely. It was in good enough condition to keep. She threw it into a jar with others. She examined the other eye. There was something wrong with it. She put on her microscopic glasses with the small light attached to it and peered into it. The retina had detached itself. She sighed and threw it into the garbage. It would be of no use to her. She cut off his lips, nose, ears, and scalp. She would get the brain later.

“Toes!” Bella exclaimed as she pulled off his shoes. She giggled. It took her a good hour to completely disconnect his appendages from his body. She carefully packaged up the heart and guts and organs. Cen would be pleased to receive these. She bounced around and started singing. She loved her job.
~
They all looked around at each other. Apparently everybody had invited everybody. They were then introduced to each other. Merek smiled at Cen. Milla’s eyes looked up at Mallary. She hoped the girl didn’t bring anything the Captain would disagree with. Dacnis began eating, stuffing his beak with the fishy foods. They all munched happily.

Jared eyed the people he had never met. He wondered how long they would be staying. He watched as Elara danced around the table, Lyra shortly joined the puppet. He smiled.

“How goes things Cen?” Merek spoke, breaking the silence. He smiled at her. “I didn’t know you knew Felipe,” he looked at the white-eyed male.

Noni stared at the bird man. “How does it feel to flu?” she asked him. She gave him her full attention. He said something along the lines of how nice it was etcetera. Her attention was taken away by the flying female. She longed to touch her wings.

Kalypso looked at Cen. She didn’t like the aura that circled the girl. She was a water demon. Her kind didn’t associate with their kind. She tried her best to be nice. “I hear zat ze water iz nice dis time of the year,” she smiled at the girl.

Ananke sat between the twins. She wrapped her hands around both of theirs. She leaned aver and whispered in Jerek’s ear. He blushed and shook his head no. She had been watching when Jen attacked him outside of his room.

Jade looked at Dacnis. He looked familiar. She wondered if he had been a member of her forest home. She wasn’t sure.

Jayse sat back in his chair and began digging out scraps of food between his teeth with his fork. “Hey there Camilla,” he raised an eyebrow at her, “how are you liking the ocean?” He awaited her answer. His skin began to glow green, his hair a dark brown.

Cordelia focused on Elara and Lyra. She didn’t feel like socializing with everyone. They made her uncomfortable. Her fingers moved slightly making Elara dance. If anyone were paying attention they would think she was dancing herself. Only a few could see her hair that connected the puppet to herself. She began to sing in a low voice, oblivious to all. ---

“Things are good. Business is good,” Cen giggled, eyes mysterious. “Oh yeah, I know Felipe… We go way back,” she hugged him, smiling. “We are close, right Felipe?” she asked. She adored her friend and told him just about anything.

Mallary ate quietly, longing to sink her teeth into her own meal. She then felt eyes on her. Not only Milla’s, but Noni’s as well. She shuddered visibly. And felt the need to stretch her wings.

Cen listened to the strange voice of Kalypso. So, was she really curious or just being nice? Cen smiled before answering. “Yea, the temperature is great. I like it this time of year.” She said, glad to be meeting new people. ‘Maybe now I can get new customers… if Merek or Felipe told them of me.’ She thought.

“Oh, It makes me sick,” Camilla admitted, picking at her food slowly. “But I love the air. It’s nice out here in the middle of nowhere.” She allowed a giggle to escape her.

Varion sat next to Jared, allowing everyone to see him. He didn’t eat, though, only listened to the conversation. Maybe he could learn something. He noticed Jen and Mace sitting next to Camilla, both staring at him coldly. He smiled sweetly to them. Both of them turned away. Jen was feeding both of the large cats who tried to jump on the table.

The small blue figure listened to the singing while dancing beside the puppet. At first, Candy was afraid of Elara, but eventually warmed up to her. She kept away from Lyra, not wanting to cause trouble. She wanted to play with the puppet as well, that was all. She was interested in the moving object. She immediately found out how the puppet moved. Candy bounced over to Cordelia, blinking at her. ’You control her!’ her eyes said plainly with their happiness. She was proud of herself.

--- Her eyes darted back to the head. It was time she got in it. She pulled out the tongue. People would die for this delicatessen. She then used both her hands to rip his jaw apart. Her bone saw came in handy as she cut the rest of his skull in half. The brain. She giggled. She loved messing with the brain. She pulled it out from its container and gasped. She had forgotten about the soul. She looked at it. It was still sitting behind where they eyes were. She poked it with her finger, it slowly rose and began to float away. “I don’t think so mister!” she grabbed its silky arm and pulled it back.

It worked! Her new invention, Soul Grabber II. The first one only worked a couple of times before it fell to pieces. This one consisted of three silver suction cup type things that were placed on the fingers. They made it possible to grab the apparition. She stuffed it into an Erlenmeyer flask and corked it. Somebody would be excited.
~
Lyra looked up at the floating sea horse. She smiled even bigger. She wanted to touch it. She was brought back to reality by the puppet. It was now dancing around her. She began dancing once more. Cordelia’s voice was enchanting.

Kalypso listened as the water demon spike. Se tried to keep a stoic expression on her face. This would be easier had there not been two of them in the same room as her. It made her uneasy. “Zat is gud,” she replied, “I’ve never really liked ze water, on offenze. I can’t really ‘elp it.” She watched the female’s expression and waited to see if she would et asked the question all others asked her.

Milla looked over at Noni, laughter filled her eyes. Noni was playing with the lobsters, making them fight. She had somehow managed to get her hand stuck in both of their claws. She looked around at the others and settled her eyes on Varion.

Jerek looked over at his brother. He was conversing with Dacnis. How many people did her know? He looked over and Felipe and Cen. He knew her too? He felt eyes on him and looked over at Ananke. She was still giving him that weird look. He glared at her.

Xavier smiled as he watched the others. He turned and watched his lover eat. The flexing of his jaw as he chewed was making him uncomfortable in his chair. He bit his tongue and hoped his thoughts would evade him.

Felipe nodded and smiled at Cen. He looked back at Merek and wondered how they had met. He turned his attention back to Cen, “So, tell me, how is fair Kalualla? I haven’t seen her in ages! I must visit the both of you sometime.” He smiled.

Jade wasn’t being her normal talkative self. She didn’t like talking when lots of people were around. She busied herself picking up all the empty plates.

Jared stood and cleared his throat. “I am afraid we must end this. We have been at this for atleast three hours. I believe our posts have been waiting on us,” his steps echoed as he walked to the door and exited the room.

Milla looked at Mallary ‘Want to sink you teeth in some flesh? Or Maybe any organs?’ She winked at the girl and stood. She looked at the girl, then to the door and began walking to her quarters.
~
Soren stopped and looked in front of him. Had he gone the wrong way? He looked back down on the map then back up the sign. Soreka it read. This wasn’t right. He sighed and turned back around. ---

The small horse bounced over to Lyra, finally finding the courage to make a new friend. She jumped up in front of the girls’ face, hovering there and making soft noises. “My name is Candy,” she said in a different language, but she knew Lyra would understand her. She made sure it was translated into the girls’ mind.

The first thought that flashed through Cen’s mind was the fact that Kalypso was a sailor that didn’t like water. She said nothing, deciding it was not her business. “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I suppose,” Cen said with a sigh. “I’m sorry you do not share the same love of water,” she added, entwining her fingers in Felipe’s. “Kalualla is great. I supposed business is good. You should visit more often,” she said, pouting softly.
~
Mallary stood with the rest of the people when Jared dismissed them. She giggled at Milla, following her to her room, hoping for a real meal. She tucked her wings back and smiled as she passed her sister.
~
Camilla and her slaves went back to their rooms where Camilla took a shower, The hot water rained down on her in comfort. She washed her hair slowly, trying to take as long as she could.
~
Jen and Mace played a mind game while sitting on the bed. They had made the game up so they didn’t get bored. Jen giggled, having won the game. Mace frowned.
~
Varion poofed away, not getting anything important from the crew. He found himself with Falan again as she rested, reading a book. “Layna’s having a party,” the slave girls’ voice was soft. She had a lot of work to do, but she didn’t want to do it. She felt the demon’s hands on her hips and she sighed. He was usually like this, gentle and never forceful, but he was sometimes cruel to her.
~
Casey and Trisha followed Jade and Xavier, hoping to get something to eat from them. The lynx pulled at Jade’s pants leg playfully. The tiger followed Xavier patiently, her eyes asking politely for table scraps.

--- She looked up at the small being. “I’m Lyra!” she giggled, a big smile on her face. She wondered what it would be like to be that small. She began to follow her. Curiosity was her biggest flaw.

Felipe squeezed her silver-blue hands. That’s good, I hope to see her soon. After this mission I plan on visiting the underwater city,” he smiled. “I miss that place.” he looked over at her pouting face and kissed her on the cheek, “No pouting Missy!” He stood, her hand was still in his, “Come. I want to show you my latest work.”

Merek stood and watched the interaction between Cen and Felipe. He raised an eyebrow at Cen as he walked out the door. Dacnis, Jerek, and Ananke followed. Merek’s mind was everywhere, but mostly on the leaf. Dacnis was leaving soon, but first he wanted to look through Merek’s materials. The leaf seemed oddly familiar but he’d never been to Plom Island before. He sighed and entered his room. He needed to do inventory.

All the food and empty plates had been brought back into the kitchen. Avie looked over at Jade, her pants were around her ankle, the lynx beside her. He laughed. It was a funny sight. Jade quickly pulled up her pants, her face was turning red. “Thank you for helping me,” Avie said to her. He looked down at the tiger beside him, “I bet you and your friend are hungry.” His eyes swept over the leftovers. There wasn’t much. He put them all together and turned back to the animals, “Rare, Medium, or well done?” He opened the freezer and took out a large steak and a swordfish. He cooked them for a few minutes so they would be warm and sat them on a plate on the ground. Jade was already gone.
~
He snapped his fingers, the apparition floated to the map and pointed to a place before disappearing, his hands were on the wheel now. He looked up, the sun was making its way down towards the horizon. He smiled.
~
Kalualla sat behind her desk. Javer had just left. She still couldn’t believe Camilla had lost her Babea. There had to be something she could do to help. ---

Cen’s face brightened as Felipe’s lips brushed her cheek. She enjoyed having him near. He put comfort in her stone cold heart. She followed him, allowing his hand to hold her wrist. She trusted him and knew he wouldn’t hurt her. She grinned at Merek, thinking he might be a bit jealous that Felipe got her attention.
~
The two large cats bounced about, waiting for the food to be done. Casey had given Jade a small apologetic look before the girl left. When they were given the mean, they ate hungrily. Trisha bowed her head to Xavier in thanks. She liked this male.
~
Candy hopped onto Lyra’s shoulder hitching a ride on her new friend. ‘I’m a water spirit,’ she explained. She rubbed her cheek against Lyra’s, giggling softly.
~
Mallary bounced up and down next to Milla in the room. “I have a heart!” she giggled, looking proud of herself. She held it in her hands, smiling.
~
She turned off the water and stepped out, drying herself off. She was slightly angry because the water had turned cold. As she lay on her bed, the covers warmed her slender body. She debated on wearing clothes. It was slightly cold, yet she liked the feeling of the air and covers against her body. As long as no one walked in, she was ok.
~
Jen’s eyes drooped as she started to feel sleepy. She figured that the visitors would be leaving soon. She was happy to have seen another of her kind. She had watched Cen during dinner and had realized that they looked different. Cen seemed more outgoing and beautiful. It made Jen jealous.

Mace watched his sister slip out of the room, wondering vaguely where she was going. He could see her mind working and signs of curiosity were there. He came to a conclusion that she was looking for the Captain. Mace smiled. Maybe she would start talking if she spent some time with Cen and Jared. They both had an interest of the water. Jen needed friends.

--- A slight breeze embraced them as they exited the stairwell. His smile grew bigger. The sun was beginning to start its way down. He still had Cen’s warming hand in his. He pulled her toward the back of the ship, his designated working area, if weather allowed it. “Excuse the mess,” he said to her and laughed slightly. There were splatters of paint all over the wood. Some had started to fade slightly. There was an easel in the center, he led her to it. “I just finished it before you arrived. Do you like it?” It was a large painting of the underwater city. He watched her expression and smiled. “If you want to see more, I have a room full of paintings.”
~
Merek watched as Dacnis turned into another seagull and flew off towards the horizon. He seemed a littler fatter than before. He should be, he took a few of Merek’s books and an item or two. Merek looked down at the leaf in his hand. He could feel the energy radiating off of it. Dacnis must have failed to feel it, or else Merek would have never seen this, He placed it in a Petri dish on his desk and went out to see what the others were up to.
~
Milla watched Mallary with amusement. Milla looked at the lung with pieces of heart protruding in her hand,. She smiled. A meat locker took up half of the room. She opened the door and smiled. Once again at the girl. She beckoned her to follow inside. There were two doors on either side of her. One held frozen goods the other held a few humans that she had stolen, nobody on the ship knew about this, and random pieces of males. Males were easy to catch. She opened the door to the warmer room. Her humans were busy playing some game. They were not scared of her. They thought she was a friendly girl, not their captor. She liked to keep them under illusion. They were unaware of anything that would set them in panic mode. She looked back at the girl with wings ‘Does any of them strike your fancy?’ she asked. ‘Or would you rather just play with these goods?’ she pointed at her overflowing cabinets.

She turned and headed toward her prisoners. She was starving. Milla put her arm around one of the few girls. She brushed the hair away and sunk her teeth in the back of the girls’ neck. She heard the girl scream within her head but knew Mallary couldn’t hear it. The illusion that was placed upon them was only complete once Milla had stolen and eaten their voice box. She pulled back, flesh still in her mouth. The spinal cord was now visible. The girls’ arms and legs were all over the place. Milla had the girl held to the wall and pushed her hand hard on the female’s chest. Eventually she stopped breathing and blood leaked out of her mouth, nose, and eyes. The pressure had made her heart burst. Milla began to devour her. ---

Cen’s hand flew to her mouth in awe of the painting. “My God, it’s beautiful!” she exclaimed. Her eyes moved over the painting in wonder. “I do want to see more!” she giggled, pulling his arm to her chest. Both arms holding it there. She temporarily forgot about the human held captive in her home. Her eyes traveled over the messy space and her eyes brightened. The mess only meant he enjoyed what he did.
~
Mallary giggled as the door was opened then let out a squeal as she saw the humans/ “Yay!” she said childishly. She looked over each human, looking for flaws. One girl child caught her eye and she walked over, wrapping her arms around the tiny human. “Hello, girl,” she stroked the humans arms and kissed her neck before sinking her teeth into the soft flesh of the humans arm. The child squirmed, causing Mallary to smile. She slowly killed the flailing child, savoring her meal.
