Reincarnation: the demon and the priestess

Smoke filled the air. Mixed with the smell of death and blood. The hills covered with thousands of dead and injured men. Like all of his battles, this one didn't last that long. He stepped through the clouds of smoke, with the village in his view. His golden eyes still glittering with the bloodlust of battle. Ramodus was a heartless demon. He was as deadly as he was handsome, but known to show mercy to children(he doesnt fall for people/demons pretending to be children though). He looked intently on the village. His shoulder length blonde hair still soaked in blood along with his clothes. The village looked so peaceful dispite the battle that had just occured only a few miles away. He smirked, feeling content with the killing he had done already. The village would be spared for now.

He laughed suddenly at the irony. Most of those men met their deaths to protect a village he had no intention on destroying. He saw no harm in wandering in the village, seeing as it was late, and everyone would probably be asleep. As he went to wash the blood off in a nearby river, the wind shifted. He would never realize his destiny awaited him in that small village in the form of a newborn baby girl named Esme.
