Ina

From death she rose, bringing nothing with her but her body. She had no soul, only the flesh and blood that Hades had allowed her to keep. She had been born into death and brought now into a life she didn't want. Her mother cried for her baby, but nothing would stop fate from having the child. That day she was forced onto the surface of the mortal world, naked and cold. Slowly, her mind responded to the pain of something beneath her. A stick was poking sharply into her side, right above her hip. She should have felt lucky for being sent to the mortal realm. Only a select few get sent to earth to live. Unfortunently, out of the select few, she got one of the worst human roles in life.

Ina stood from her spot on the ground, brushing grass and twigs from her body. As she began to walk, pain shot through her body. Rocks were digging into her delicate, pale flesh. She came out of a small circle of trees onto a road, which she followed, only to be seized by a group of men. They chained her body without any struggle. She didn't retaliate, only allowed them to take her. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she hoped for something warm.

She was slowly beginning to understand the human world as her mind adjusted to the new place. She wasn't too happy about what was happening. She realized that she was being taken into slavery. She was thrown into a cell and given some clothes that barely fit her. She was told that she was currently the property of Joseph and would be sold to another owner on a later date. She glared at the man who was her owner, grey eyes full of hatred. He only smiled.

She was given food and water, but only on occasion. She didn't cry, for she had run out of tears a few days before. A man, who she now knew as Talar, came into her cell, putting her chains back on. she was jerked up and dragged out. Still, she refused to fight him. Ina was taken to a stage where she was thrown out on and told to stand still. Many eyes fell on her, causing her to shake in fear. At first sight, one would see an unusually pale girl with dark circles under her light grey eyes. She looked, if anything, dead. The only way to tell that she was alive was the soft movement of her chest as she breathed. Once the people got used to her dead look, she was a beautiful young girl. She looked to be around the age of fourteen. This caused eyes of males to lighten and high bids to be placed.

Ina was bought by a woman by the name of Layna. The lady looked as if she had good money, which might have been the reason she was able to buy the new slave. The girl was taken to Layna's home in the sky, where she was told to do anything that needed doing. There, Ina met her lover, Nasha. Nasha, like Ina, was another dead soul that had been put on earth. Nasha was the gardener for Layna, but when she had free time she spent long hours with Ina, teaching her about plants found in Layna's garden. Ina became totally devoted to her master, as well as her partner.
