The Crew-side story-Chapter 4

For the first time in  almost a year, I saw my best friend Glenna.  She was spending the night.  She had just gotten back from P.R. two days ago. But currently I was talking on the phone with my friend Bob.  Although we dated off and on, we were always best friends. Yes all of our group were best friends but that would change alot over the next year.  Bob was currently single and well, bugging me still.  "So yea, I'm not sure if Kris is doing something for his birthday this year, and Juan's birthday just passed, but I know for a fact that Kit is doing something for her birthday."  He said, "so how are things with this guy David?"  I sighed, and smiled, "things are great with David.  I think I'm falling for him."  Bob grunted. "You sure? I mean we could , you know, hang out, do something, what does he got on me?" I thought to myself, well, a lot, but I didn't say that to Bob.  Sometimes he doesn't take a hint, and what was worse, my little brothers best friend Carlos liked me now.  He was very very cute, but I only had eyes for David.  Damn the bastard.  "Hey Bob Glenna is here I have to go, we will talk soon bye."  I hung up with him, Glenna wasn't really here yet, but he was getting weird.  I called David up, and we planned on going out tomorrow on the fairy.  It would be me, him, Juan, and his mother.  Glenna showed up and we talked for hours about P.R. and about both of our David's.  Glenna and I both called up Kit and we spoke for a while and joked around.  It was a nice night.  Summer was zooming by.  Soon it was the end of July and Kit's party was coming up in a few days.  She was trying to cheer me up because David had gone to New Jersey for a couple of weeks and I was missing him.  Then the day loomed by.  Glenna Lee and I were going to spend the night after the guys  left.  Our whole group of friends were coming.  Micha, Juan, Kris, Bob, and us girls. I hadn't seen Micha since June.  Kit was also inviting her friend Michael, who she was sort of having a couple of flings with.  Michael was okay.  He was black, about 5'8, medium weight, and a bit ghetto.  So we all arrived at Kit's house, the back yard was huge.  We were all dressed for the summer.  At first everyone sort of unconsciously split into groups. I was with Glenna trying to get away from Bob, who was following me.  I was also with Juan, and we were talking about that crazy 3rd base fling thing we did.  Kit and Lee were up ahead talking to Micha.  Kris was just in between us all.  I left Glenna alone with Juan to talk and joined Kit and Lee.  Lee and Glenna had a history together.  In 7th grade, Lee's then boyfriend cheated on her with Glenna.  Lee found out and they haven't been close ever since.  I guess Lee just has bad luck or something.  All her boyfriends are either attracted to her best friends, or love them too.  Lee looked at me and said, "what are they talking about?"  She glanced at Juan and Glenna, christ don't tell me she's jealous?  I looked at her and said, "don't worry about them, Glenna is in love with her boyfriend in P.R. and they are talking about things that have happend over the past year."  Lee didn't look satisfied but she stood quiet.  I went over to Kit and we began to talk as Lee went over to get a soda.  "I'm trying to get Micha jealous with Michael, but I don't know if it will work.  Do you think he likes me?"  I looked a Micha who was playing around with Lee now.  I didn't think he liked Kit but I wasn't sure so I told her, "I'm not sure, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't, we will see if he gets jealous."  I saw Lee approaching Juan and Glenna now, but they had their backs to her, and knowing what they were talking about I called out to her, "Lee wait up."  Lee looked annoyed, and Glenna and Juan now had a heads up.  Right when I was about to go with Lee, I saw Micha alone.  I new Glenna was warned so I went to go talk to him.  I sat beside him on the grass.  "Hey Micha." I smiled, he smiled. "Hey Iris."  "So Micha why are you all alone?"  He  looked at me, and said, "just thinking."  "Okay well I'll leave you alone if-(he interrupted) no stay its okay."  We talked and I said, "you know I didn't like you at first at all."  He said, "me either, but I like you now."  I looked at him and said, "you still annoy me though, so don't get used to it."  He laughed and I stood up and went back to Glenna, telling Micha behind my back to go talk to Kit.  Glenna seemed relieved when I went up to her.  I pulled her aside and let Juan and Lee alone.  "Whats up?"  She looked at me and said, "we heard your warning call at the last minute so when she got to us, we suddenly stayed quiet, and she knows we were talking about something she doesn't know about.  She tried to play off being nice, but I think she is grilling Juan now."  I looked at Juan, and yep they were arguing.  I went over to them.  I was always in the middle of their fights.  It usually starts off with them dragging me in, and helping them, and now Jay made it a custom of asking me for help, or pulling me aside so we could talk in private, alone.  It's that what makes Lee jealous.  Boy this day just started and I already wanted it to end.1
