Easter Time
As the Easter moon,
Spreads its wings,
You can hear a voice,
A voice that sings
It tells of the coming,
Of the light and the hope,
The burning of the heart,
The flesh of the rope
It tells us of Christ,
When his sacrifice was made,
As he entered Jerusalem,
In the trees’ cool shade
It tells of the betrayal,
When the time hung by a thread,
And in the dark cross,
The light beamed ahead
And as the song ends,
You will hear,
The crowds of Jerusalem,
Sing with great cheer
For as the Son,
Wakes from his grave,
Everyone is hit by,
The love that he gave
And so the sign,
Of Easter life,
Is an egg,
An egg in no strife
So as you think of Easter,
Of the hope that he gave,
Think of Jesus,
The saviour, the save
