Not a rose
By: Bedig Hindoyian
I dont want to love a rose
That has pricks and thorns sharp expose
Prickly petals among the wind that blows
As it rips my heart out with it claws
I want to love a flower so red
They live wounded bleeding so bad
My heart pricked impaled and sad
With thorns on me prick and clad
I dont want to love a rose so fake
Poisonous like an evil snake
To seem to love then drop me to break
Wounds bleed and I drown in a lake
Not a rose not a rose
I hug thee but thorn grows
Your love is like my flaws
Your pricks like spikes glows
I want a Lillie
That shines in a glee
Not a rose prickly like thee
Thats what best for me
I want a tulip
With glossy red lips
No pricks on your fingertips
From whom I bow into sips
I want a carnelian
Better if you were a jasmine
A soft supple skin
On sweet petals I dance and spin
Better to be a daisy
Not a rose with thorns so hazy
A yellow white glazing daisy
Not a prickled rose driving me crazy
Anything but a rose
That has pricks and thorns sharp expose
Prickly petals among the wind that blows
As it rips my heart out with it claws
