Anties!

As she began to wake up, she realized her legs were itching and in pain. She pulled the covers off of herself sleepily and rubbed her eyes. To her surprise, her arms felt the same as her legs: Itchy. Something made her mouth hurt and she had a bad taste in her mouth.

The young girl finally woke up enough to check her legs. Something small and black was crawling around on her flesh. She saw at least a hundred tiny ants biting her legs and crawling around, seemingly content with themselves. She looked at her arms and found the same thing.

Suddenly, realizing what was going on, she screamed. Her head throbbed and ants fell from her gaping mouth. They were IN her mouth! She panicked, her palms wet and her heart racing. Her eyes looked around wildly. What was happening? She realized the ants were eating through her flesh, they were inside her body. Tears came from her eyes and fell to her skin. She was being eaten by ants.

Lydia swatted wildly at the nasty little bugs. She began to kick at the sheets, throwing many of them off, but more seemed to come, crawling over her body. Again, she screamed, the noise cutting through the darkness.

Something roused James from his sleep. He opened his eyes to the sun coming from his window. He stood up, slipping on pants and a shirt. He then went to his little sisters room, something he did every morning. They had lost their parents to a fire and he was all she had now. He opened her door to see his little sister laying there, half on the bed and the covers kicked back. Fear coursed through him as he walked closer, seeing small holes in the seven year olds bodies. Something was moving under her skin and black bugs were swarming over her. Ants. They even crawled over her dead, gray eyes and in her nose. James backed away from the bed, his eyes wide and heavy. A scream escaped him, just as it had his sister as she was killed in the long hours of the night.

Author notes

-sighs- I hate it. It's ok, but...eh...I'm sleepy. So, I hate the idea of ants eating through my flesh..in fact, I hate the idea of any bugs eating through flesh. These kinda of scenes scare me...I hate flesh eating bugs. Yuck.

    Iccckkky! Bugs! I think I could tell you were sleepy.. There was a few typo's toward the end there.. ^_^

    My only qustion is, I really didn't get how she didn't wake up.. =/ you know.. before it got that bad.

      Heavy sleeper...plus, you don't really feel when ants bite..only the itch...she did wake up eventually...only to find that she was too late...I wouldn't have woken up lol

    Itchy ants!!! I hate ants! I don't like ants near me but when i see them consuming the flesh of animals I like to watch from a safe distance Juts kidding! Anyways i liked this it was original and cool! Thanks sooo much for entering and gooooood luck

    This is grotesquely fascinating . Almost comical in a very morbid sort of way. . . reminds me of salad fingers a little, only a bit more solemn.



    Very enjoyable . Way to face a fear lol.

    this reminds of the CSI where nick was trapped underground with ants. EEEE scary much? i would HATE to be eaten by ants. scare me much? haha.
