A mysterious man entered the town of Nibilia on the fourth day of the harvest season. A black hood was all that covered his face. He wore a black shirt and he wore black breeches. A description would be given if he had had the hood of his cloak down. A platoon of soldiers was ahead of him. A smirk crossed his face, as he thought of the outcome from this battle. The street in which they were going to fight on was wide. With a few houses on the edge of the road. The houses were made of a tan brick. A couple of people walked out to see what was going on, others looked from the windows of their houses. 1
“Ah… a good day ahead. Bloodshed, steel, and death. I can smell it.”2
The soldiers came up to him in a ready position. They wore the colors of the king, blue and gray. Blue tunics with gray trim, and gray breeches. 3
He carried no weapon, for his hands was all the was needed for this fight. The platoon was a squad of a spear unit that was undoubtedly looking for him. He obliged to engage them. He walked forward right into the unit, and they came to a run. The first two men came at him, and he grabbed the shaft of the spear and veered it past his head as he bent backwards to kick the soldier in the stomach. 4
The soldiers grip weakened and the spear was released. The hood was down now, revealing his slick silver hair. He had blue eyes, and an angular face. He was of a medium build but he was not refined. He hefted the spear into the air and it hit another soldier in the face, sending a shower of blood behind him, and what looked like pieces of gray matter hit the ground. He spun and kicked the next soldier in the head. Not surprisingly the soldier fell and he grabbed the spear, driving it into the mans chest. Blood showered out of him. 5
He grabbed the knife from the soldiers belt, and ran forward cutting the bellies out of the men in front. When he finally reached the end, he turned back to find only five people left standing. He threw the knife and buried it to the hilt in a soldiers face. The soldier had no time to react, he hit the ground, twitched, and then moved no more. The remaining four looked at him, and then attacked. 6
The first tried to a standard maneuver thrust, which would usually work, but not on this man. The mysterious man grabbed the spear, and easily overpowered the soldier. He lifted the spear and flung the soldier into his fellow soldiers. He then threw it at them, pinning two of them to the ground, on the same spear. They groaned in agony and, then stopped. The remaining two stood up and drew knives, while throwing down the spear, knowing that it would do no good against this man. The man raised his hand and clutched the right soldier in the throat with sorcery. 7
The man screamed and kicked, while being lifted off of the ground. Our mysterious hero clutched harder blowing the soldiers neck from his shoulders. The body went limp and he was thrown aside. The mysterious man looked at the last, trembling soldier, the last of fifteen. 8
“Go ahead and tell your commander that I have come, and that I am waiting for his head. I am Raphael, black mage, and I am ready to fight this war by myself.” Raphael said. 9
The soldier turned quickly and ran away to tell his captain of the villain named Raphael. Raphael decided to not worry about anyone else, this world would never be the same again. 10
