Kenyatta Makes a Bust!

Just a little while ago while I was researching a fictional story about Kofi Annan, I was alerted that someone in the computer lab I was monitoring was viewing porn. I leaped up. Looked over the guy's shoulder at his computer and sure enough! It was my first porn bust. What fun! I got to ban him from the lab. This was pretty funny since I have no problems with the idea of using a private home computer to look at all the porn you want to waste time and money on. But in a public computer, don't even think about it. What do others think about this idea?1

i am including the workplace in my definition of a public computer. basically, any place other than a private residence should be off limits. anyone in a relationship with a person who spends a lot of time, effort and money on porn is probably wasting his or her time.

I believe porn to be a waste of my time , public or private ...but I guess " private " is an individual choice ....but on public computers...no way . As a matter of fact , I am not sure by public alone....something would need to be said for in the workplace too , as on my job the guys would pull up porn in the main office ...sit there and snicker like little kids ( mind you , they were adults ) and just being in that office during downtime was an affront to me as a person , and yes those watching included managment too , so there was not alot I( could do about it

blah...porn...ugh. can remember sitting in a high school computer lab with some of my students (late 90's) and helping one girl do a search for a history project. we did a dogpile search...and all of a sudden, porn was popping up all over. apparently before special filters were installed. porn on public computers...no thanks!
    good topic for debate kenyatta,

libraries have to deal with this issue a lot, for example. even in households with no children. there are a lot of privacy programs sold on the basis that you may be living with another person who disapproves of the sites you may be visiting and these programs allow you to surf the web undetected.

    scary subject!!

Gosh this is area that I never thought to think about perhaps porn should be set up so only adults can view it somehow interesting thought but porn goes on under the eyes of family members......etc so its in a area subject that I have memories of with church leaders so I shall not say anymore here but may our children be put first regardless of who is responsible!!!
