Introduction to a Story

Highway 7. In the bible seven represented completeness, it’s mentioned all throughout revelations with just that meaning. It signifies that in heaven you are complete, or that everything that happens in heaven is right ‘cause it’s complete. However you want to take it is alright, because it’s a big world and I’m sure that nobody in it has the right meanings of the bible written on their tombstones or anything.1

I’m undecided as to wether or not this highway is complete or not, but I mean I’m not one to go against a thing like the bible in it’s ‘infinite wisdom’ or anything. And when I say complete, I don’t mean road construction or anything, spiritually is more like it. I’m sure some people have had wrecks on it, and I’m sure that part were Christian people who died, and part were Buddhists, and part Atheist. I’m sure that someone has had a mid drive confessional. Somebody somewhere has been saved along it, and somebody’s surely popped off a few “Goddamn”s when they had a flat. What I’m asking is if these acts have a bearing on the overall spirituality of the road.2

Well, I mean, all that energy has to go somewhere. I’ve been saved, a few times, and I always felt that it was the best of times. There was something inside me, but when I woke up a week later it felt like my bed had sucked that energy right out of my body.3

It could have too ‘cause it never came back. Maybe, if those people felt the same thing, they left an imprint on that highway and weeks later the highway claimed what was it’s in the first place. It could be a great war between highways and beds to see how many could they could effect. The one with the most souls at the end of eternity won. Oh, and I bet that when you have babies on the highway or in hospitals (you’re lying on a bedish thing) that it’s worth triple points or something like that.4
