The Forgotten Time

"C’mon I know a place we can go,” said Jane, she was tall, had blue eyes and blonde hair, all the men wanted her but couldn’t have her as she was devoted to saving the lives of others! Some call her The Slayer! She led a man into a barn “nobody will find us here,” she gasped; they had been running for some time. What from you ask? Vampires! Now you may think of vampires as monsters who can’t come out in daylight or can’t cross the threshold but in the year 4582 AD things are different! The suns light source has burnt out, we now rely on artificial lighting and the vampires can stand the light and are free to prey on innocent lives, however, there are many like Jane. Slayers I mean. There is a slayer to protect every town, village and city! But they can’t handle it! It’s like hell on earth!1

It was a cold night in Jade city, vampires on the prowl, werewolves sat drinking beer on street corners, goblins robbing endless corner shops and the law can’t do anything to stop it. Jane got into her car with her helper Jake, Jake was average height, muscular, good looking and could probably take care of himself if he was attacked by a gang of humans, but against the vampires it’s a different story!2

They pulled up outside Bob’s liqueur store. Two goblins, a werewolf and three vampires went in. They caused no harm to the staff and came out with a twelve pack of beer. They are what we call human lovers. Up the street they saw some not so calm vampires there were three dead humans slaughtered for fun not for food, lying there on the floor dead. “Stay here,” Jane said to Jake. She took her handgun from the backseat and loaded it with six carbon based bullets (the stuff needed to kill the vampires).3

She got out of the car and pointed the carbon gun at one of the vampires, he was frozen still, one of the other vampires turned and pulled out a COLT 45 handgun, Jane showed him how to use a gun by blowing his right hand into thousands of pieces! The 4 vampires she wasn’t pointing the gun at zoomed away as fast as possible whilst the unfortunate vampire with the gun pointed at him waited and waited, hoping his death would be short! However Jane had a better idea. She could use him for information, getting all the info on the vampires.4

She took him back to her hideout; he was blindfolded all the way. Jane’s hideout was a dark place, everybody wondered why; they just thought it made the vampires more comfortable! But they didn’t know Jane’s secret…She was a human half breed! Half blood sucker and half human, she was blessed with the strength of a vampire, the killing ability of them, however she had the human’s conscience and could not kill when not needed which was a major factor in her work as the vampires often hired human’s to do their dirty work for them!5

The next day Jane woke the vampire. 6

“Who do you work for?” she said calmly7

“I won’t tell you anything!” he replied sharply.8

“Oh won’t you?” she hit him hard in the chest with a blunt stake!9

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,” the scream rang through the hideout like nails on a chalkboard!10

“Still not gonna talk?” asked Jane calmly.11

“OK, OK…………………………… I’ll talk!” sighed the vampire.12

“Carry on,” said Jake. He had heard the scream and came running quickly.13

“Well…………………. As you probably no,” said the vampire as quietly as possible “there has been a new guy in town lately, thinks he’s real tough! So me and my gang thought we’d try and show him we can’t be pushed around and we started killing more humans to rival his gang, but there is just too many of them!”14

“Too many huh?” Jane said rhetorically15

“Well I got an idea!” Jane continued “if there are too many for you maybe I could round up my gang and a few more slayers down here and we take them out! That is of course, if you can happily work with humans? I leave the ball in your court, you can leave now. Come back tomorrow with your answer.” Jane had never seen a vampire run as fast as the vampire she came to know as Theodore.16

Theodore returned the next day with his gang. He walked up to the door; alone that is, he knocked loudly on the door. Jane came out and held a carbon gun to his head (she didn’t trust Theodore farther than she could throw him. This was quite far!) “Well what’s your answer” she demanded.17

He looked at his fellow members, they all nodded. “OK,” he said confidently!18

Now the world started to get better, the team of fifteen vampires, nine werewolves, six slayers and three humans started to finally rid the world of the forgotten time! Day by day, hour by hour the world was ridded of foul werewolves and goblins and of course the vampires; however there was one more task! To rid the world of the fifteen vampires and nine werewolves and make them extinct!!!19

Over the five years they had been saving the world for Jane had grown fond of Theodore. But it needed to be done! Her and the other slayers killed the werewolves, painlessly of course. They told Theodore that they got bored and went to find happiness! But then the vampires started to disappear until only Theodore was left! He was now, however, quite aware of what was going on and had prepared an escape! Before he could get away Jane stopped him in his bedroom at her hideout. It was then she realised that she couldn’t do it, she just couldn’t kill Theodore!20

He kissed her! She didn’t resist, they woke up the next morning, laid side by side. Jane realised that there was no way of doing it, and she had no intention of doing it. She let Theodore go! Her one chance for happiness had left, gone, vanished! She thought that she couldn’t live with herself for letting him go; now the forgotten time wouldn’t be known as the forgotten time anymore!!!! It was now the hell on earth that everybody lived on for the next thousand years until. There was one man, a man who fought for justice, for the right to live freely. His name was…Sephiroth21
