[ Battered and Beaten ]

footsteps echoing down a dark alleyway,
the rain pouring down heavily,

welcome to the dark streets in this town,
where evil lurks around every corner,

a young girl running for help,
from a dark shadowed man,

an abused child of only fourteen,
the man has raped and beat her,

she cut him deeply with a butcher knife,
fleeding for her life into the night,

he swore she would pay tonight,
pay with her blood and life,

now she runs through the rainy night,
trying to escape this child abuser,

she stubbles over boxes littering her path,
and she can hear his footsteps in the rain,

crying and scared slipping and sliding,
trying to find her a spot to hide,

she sees an old crypt in the cemetery,
boarded up but dry and safe she thinks,

fleeing into the crypt,
hiding in the shadows,

finding an ancient coffin covered in dust,
hidden inside of it holding her breath,

he enters the crypt swatting at cobwebs,
looking in every coffin and shadow,

then he finds the coffin she's in,
she screams as he opens the lid,

he rips her clothes as he grabs for her,
she kicks him but he only laughs,

he slaps her with his hand drawing blood,
listening to her cry and sob he grins,

he undoes his belt still smiling,
as she crys and begs him not too,

a hand grips his neck with force,
as he is tossed to the far wall,

a beautiful woman helps the girl out,
lifting and covering the child,

the man stands and runs to the woman,
grabbing her long black hair,

she breaks his hold and snaps his wrist,
bones crack as Ashlyn hits his jaw,

blood flies from his mouth,
as the vamp hits him hard,

then she lifts him very high,
slamming him into the wall,

the child passes out from the site of blood,
a the vampyre Ashlyn feasts on his blood,

when the child awakes she's in her warm bed,
with a note beside her desk from Ashlyn,

promising he will never hurt you,
or anyone else again.
