Deep fissures lined the cave walls. The light in the cave was dim with all the openings in places were the sun would never cross. Green mineral-caked algae covered the musty damp floor. Slowly waking up on it was a girl. A swath of dark riotous hair adorned her head and shoulders . Blue eyes peered out from her features. Her lips twisted with worry as she surveyed her surroundings. A trembling voice seeped from her mouth.
“Hello”
The girl’s mind was an avalanche of thought. She couldn't be here, was all she could think. This was a place she had visited in her dreams and nightmares. She knew that she was not asleep. The creeping cold that was traveling up her arms was enough proof of that. To any onlooker she would have appeared to be weak and angelic but as often is. Her mind was far stronger that many could even comprehend. She held secrets. Some secrets that could break your life down to the trigger of a gun. At this moment she was simply scared like any child would be. There was only one way to go. A deep dripping passageway that had no visible end. She held her head high and proceeded to walk on. She had always come to this awful place. When being small she had asked about it. To her Mother and father. They had been quite and then hit her for speaking. She had seen Guilt in their eyes afterwards but it was not for hitting her. She had come to her own conclusions about the place including that when she died she would go there. She was right. Clever her.
She was still walking down the passage. She had not yet realized that this was her home. As she kept on walking a glow started to appear. Four people or people like figures surrounded the fire each perched on some modern invention. Her body frozen with unreasonable fear she tried to stutter a polite hello.
Four faces turned to greet her. Three beautiful faces, One safe face. She ran to the safe face.
“Hello” said the strange being.
She stared at him then said, “why am I hear?”
“Your heart died little one”
“My heart died?”
“To many dark secrets”
“I'm dead then?”
“Yes your dead”
“Then why have I always come here?”
“Because of you parents”
“M…my parents? They sold me… that’s what the guilt was, what did they sell me for?”
“Your mother was chaste”
“She couldn’t have children?”
“She can now”
She sobbed all the time screaming in her heart about how her parents had bargained away her soul for others who she new would die after their first breath. That was a secret and she knew it. “What will happen to me now”
“We will become your family”
She looked up into the safe ones eyes and saw love. She realized that she had never been truthfully loved. You could not love a tool. “Do they love me too” she asked staring at the other three faces.
When she looked inside she realized that the secrets were gone.

You have a very active imagination... You die and go to a cave full of Alien beings. well this is very original its nice to see people experiment with new Ideas and not just rehashing old ones look forward to the next story.

Thanks for entering. I'm confused with the title, since this is your only entry listed in the contest.
I'm going to print this so I can read it and make notes.
