Roadbumps

In under the course of two weeks my life went from bad to worse but I couldn’t let that control me. I remember when I was little and I would ride in the car with my mom and we would end up on a street that had those annoying bumps in them. I would always call them radium’s and my mother being the way she is corrected me every time. "Speed bumps Chrissy, they're called speed bumps"
I never really learned that until I got older but I do realize why they were put in the road. They’re there believe it or not to make you slow down. So it got me to thinking maybe just maybe these things in my life were put there to make me slow down and think, instead of moving in full speed. Maybe that’s something we all need to do slow down and reflect, not dwell on bad times, but remember how they eventually turned to good.

Wow, I literally have goosebumps. This is a very interesting perspective on 'roadbumps'. This piece certainly gives one something to think about.
There was one thing that got to me though, the punctuation. It needs a little work. Other than that, I honestly have no critisism whatsoever. This is a fantastic piece! I truly enjoyed reading it.

Well done and goodluck in the contest!

    Yrs.

That's a different take. Usually this type of metaphor calls speedbumps negative. This interpretation is actually refreshing that way.
