Sapphire stood up and spun around so quickly that she almost knocked Tanis over. "Tanis. . . someone is out there. . . " No need to tell Tanis, however, for he already had his bow knocked and his sharp eyes were scanning the forest. 1
"Tanis son of Uray son of Paret, put that bow down before you shoot somebody's eye out!" Chief Yanua stepped out from behind a birch with a short smile on his drawn face. "You are needed in the Warrior's tent right this instant, and I believe that you, Sapphire of the Running Water sept, are being looked for by the Wise Ones. . ."2
"Yes Chief Yanua. . " They young elves muttered in unison. 3
Quickly they trotted up the incline towards the tents, resigning themselves to the inevitable fate awaiting them. As soon as she cleared the hill, Sapphire was confronted by a line of Wise Ones with stern looks creasing their ageless faces.4
"Apprentice Sapphire! Where have you been?!?? You were supposed to be there to learn the art of dream-walking!!" 5
"Sorry, Wise Ones, I just needed some fresh air. . ."6
"No excuses!! Get back to your tent and get those breeches off and put a decent skirt on!! The Pay'rea needs to speak with you."7
As soon as the word 'Pay'rea' came out of Wise One Rewa's mouth, Sapphire jumped to it. The 'Pay'rea' was Tanis' older brother, the Chief of Chiefs. Rumor had it that the 'Pay'rea' was attracted to Sapphire, but she shook it off. He was much to old for her anyways. . .8

hmmm...i can see this Pay'rea dude wantin to get together with sapphire, but she doesn't want to get with him or something like that...but that would only be one problem...i dunno that is just what came to mind at the very end of da chapt. good job hunn
