Alley Guardian
a statue perched on this alley wall,
watching an elderly woman walk,
she counts money from bingo she won,
as she returns to her home alone,
she thinks of what she will by him,
her grandson of only six years old,
his birthday approaching soon,
lost in happy thoughts she is,
I'm Ashlyn a vampyre of 200 years,
guarding this world from evil,
I forgot how fragile mortals are,
as I watch this lady talking,
both of us lost in thoughts,
so we don't see the danger,
she gets knocked to the ground,
a mugger flees with her cash,
soft as a feather I land,
silently persuing him,
rounding the corner he opens the purse,
laughing he runs his hand in the cash,
as silent as a mouse I approach,
he never saw the canine teeth,
it was easy to hold him steady,
being as strong as several men,
after me feast I return to her,
in her mind she sees a deputy,
I explained that the mugger is gone,
and escort her back to her home,
as I hand her purse back to her,
tomorrow the body will be found,
hanging by the police station,
with a pocket full of credit cards,
his cash and blood both are mine.
Please tell me what you think
