Jordan

It was easy for him to blame Janie.  Easier than blaming himself at least.  It was her fault he fell for her- the way she tucked her hair behind her ear unconsciously, or how she hated to admit that she actually enjoyed reality TV, or the way she looked at him when she thought he didn't notice.  It was these little quirks and a hundred other things that made Janie unnoticeable irresistible.  Yes, Jordan fell in love with his best friend.  but it was her fault really.1

It was always him, Janie and Alexis.  He had never really stopped to question the situation-  Janie the third wheel to his and Alexis's relationship- until that summer.2

Hell, Janie was the reason him and Alexis got together.  Why would he have questioned that?3

"Jordan, just get your act together and ask her.  You want this- you deserve this."4

Without Janie, he wouldn't have anything.  Yet having her, it left him with nothing.5

Nothing except a now empty relationship, lacking his closest companion and memories that were never enough to satisfy his craving for her.6

Everyone thought he didn't care.  That he was an asshole looking for some fun while his girlfriend was out of town.7

But it wasn't like that.8

It had never been about that.9

It had been about Janie.10

And how much he had loved her...11

Ooh, the plot thickens. This makes me see the whole saga from a different light. One wonders what could happen next. Keep it up.
