May I have this Dance-Chapter 1

Chapter One –Hold me Close

“Tag! Now you’re it, Jewlies.” Laughter could be heard as a small group of children ran out in the bright sunlight. “Not fair! I was it last time!” A young woman, barely 18 watch with a saddened looks on her somber face. When was the last time that she ran in the sun? Oh yeah it was yesterday when some of the towns’ people thought that she needed to be reminded of her place.

She had moved into the town a little over three years prior but everyone still had problems accepting her. It wasn’t like she was any different from them, they were all human after all, but that didn’t seem to matter to the people of Valintos. It didn’t matter if you had the same blood as a family of regular Valintos’; you were an outsider to them and they hated outsiders. It was cruel the way that the people found the need to let out their anger and pain through beating the unwanted new comers. It wasn’t just the beatings that hurt though, the people saw the need to teach their mentally unbalanced ideals to their children and their children’s children. Then again that is usually how all societies tend to function and prosper.

Stopping her train of thought from going any further, the woman made her way down the simple streets filled with merchants and shoppers. Her head is hung with her brilliant fiery red hair covering her face. If one looked close enough, or even took the time to look in the first place, they would see a pair of miss matched eyes taking in the world around their owner. They would see that there was more to this woman than any of them could ever possibly imagine, but no one bothered to look.

It is well known knowledge that humans aren’t meant to stop moving objects with their bodies, but for some unknown reason they keep on doing just that. The object that happened to run into the young red head just happened to be human too, or so she seemed to be.

“Oh shit.” A head of brown hair exclaimed. “Please don’t tell any one, I swear I’ll do anything!”

“Hold on.” Lifting the brown head, the young woman looked into beautiful doe brown eyes. “What is your name?”

Please tell me what you think
