She pulled me closer to her. It felt so good to feel her skin next to mine. Then she started to take off my pants. She never took her eyes away from mine. I slipped off my pants and then hers. I pulled her on top of me, and we rolled over. Her every motion stopped at that moment. “Draven, I have to tell you something.”1

“Can it wait?” I said while kissing her neck.2

“I know where the book is.” At that moment I then stopped. I wanted to kill her and kiss her at the same time.3

“Why didn’t you,”4

“Please don’t be mad. I know I should of told you before, but I was just so angry with you for having Lestat leave me the same night I really got to meet him. I got to know him, and understand what he was going through and you took it away from me. You and Tony.” I could tell that she was serious. “I just wanted to have what Tony and Lestat had, and I thought if she was out of the picture, then I would.”5

“Maria, I don’t know what to say.” I was really speechless. She was going to cry.6

“Please don’t hurt me, not now. Not when I feel loved.” I kissed her to let her know that I understood where she was coming from. She pulled the cover over us and wrapped her legs around my body. Our bodies immediately started to grind up against one another’s. Maria hands were in my hair exploring, feeling every strand on my head. At that time, I had a weird feeling that swept over my body, somebody’s coming. Maria started to tremble in pleasure; she was going to let out a scream of excitement, when I heard it, the door in the main entrance opened. “Salonge.” I said.7

“My name is Maria. Your calling out some other girl’s name.”8

“No,” she was about to let out a loud cry, growl, or a moan. Maybe all of the above, but I didn’t want Salonge to hear, and know what was going on. As she reached her peak, I put my hand over her mouth. I could feel her breath on my hand. It felt good. Knowing that I was the reason for her heavy breathing and the tightening of her muscles. That made my ego bigger than normal. She then stopped and asked, “Why is your hand over my mouth?”9

“Salonge.”10

“My name is Maria!”11

“No, Salonge. That enchantress in the red dress and the charcoal eyes. She is kind of infatuated with me. I kind of slept with her, and ever since then she’s been even more clingy.”12

“God, fuck much?”13

“Shhhh!”14

“Sorry.” A new voice entered our ears. “Draven. Oh Draven.”15

“Damn,” I said. “I’ll be right back.” I got from under the sheets and walked out of the bed completely naked. I am not ashamed of walking around without clothes; it makes me feel more comfortable. I searched for Salonge. Without any warning she popped in front of me. “What the hell do you want?”16

“Wow, you haven’t changed since the last time I seen you naked.”17

“That was three days ago. What do you want Salonge?”18

“You.”19

“Damn Salonge! I don’t have time for you right now.”20

“Why are you so agitated?” 21

“I not!” I was furious with her.22

“Are you busy?”23

“Yes I am busy.”24

“You’re also sweaty, and naked.” She looked back down and noticed I was still very excited. “Who else is here?”25

“That is none of you business.”26

“You’re having sex with someone prettier than me, aren’t you?”27

“You lied to me! You said the book was in a different world. Where the hell is it?”28

“It’s here, in this city, at Lestat’s apartment.”29

“If I hadn’t already known that, I would be very pissed off.”30

“So you’re not mad?”31

“Yes I am mad! Please do not bother me anymore. Not until I am finished.” I walked back upstairs to see Maria lying on the bed. Her naked body was the most glorious thing I’ve seen since my last sunset. Too bad it was all about to end…32
