The Child Chapter One

Amy sat in the corner of the room. A curtain of black hair covering her small body for as much warmth as it could give, so only her shackled ankle was revealed. The room was bare with no windows or furniture expect a bare thin mattress, that was not far from where she was sitting. The room was pitch black expect for a dull light bulb that on swinging from a thin rope. The only sound was Amy’s shallow breath as her body shivered from the cold. A light mist came from the bottom of the door, before it opened and tall figure in a black cloak stepped in. A bright light illuminated his figure and she hissed. The light hurting her newly sensitive eyes from being in the dark so long.

“Are you ready to surrender to our will, petit enfant des vampires?”
The deep voice was scratchy but with the melody of a French accent.
A low amused, wounded giggle came from the mass of hair in the corner.

“I’ll never give up.”

She whispered between chattering teeth and shook her head, letting her frosted dark hair fall from her face as she hissed at him, baring just normal teeth. It was impulsive act, it seemed the longer she was away from humans or any contact, she was becoming more animal like. Something seem to be changing in her. She felt like there was a large cat inside her just pacing waiting to strike at the right moment.

“Young thing. Ha. But so powerful, we have great need of you.”

“I’ll never stand with monsters.”

First, he was standing then his face was pushed up to hers, so she could see his gray bloodshot eyes.

“And what are you, child? Some sort of goddess? YOU ARE MONSTER!”

His hot acid like breath was stealing her air. And she coughed as if in fact a hand had clenched around her throat, her hands went up to pulled them off but she felt nothing but her own throat. Then all of sudden, they released and he was back standing where he had been. She coughed and tried to suck in breath. Her hands suddenly curled as anger came over her. She tried to throw her body at him but the chain yanked her back hard and her thin body slammed on the ground.

He chuckled at her.

“Amy. Amy. Amy.”

“Sirus.”
She spat back at him.

“Do you really believe you can hurt me?”

“I’ll destroy you with my bare hands, Sirus!”

And she tired to go at him again, only to be yanked back more forcefully.

“Falsehoods.”

And with that, he closed the door, darkening her world yet again. She let out one loud scream as if rebelling against all that was taking place. Then pulling herself back in a ball, she began to cry. A hopeless growing inside, that she would never see the light of the sun again.

Midnight. There was a pounding at the back door of “Dark Desire.” A human bouncer opened it a crack and saw a small red haired fox at the door and sighed.

“Lance isn’t working tonight, Ginny.”

“Shut up, I need to talk to the owner.”

“Oh, and you think Sebastian wants to talk to you?”

“Oh, he will. Tell him, The Child’s been stolen.”

When he saw the big human bouncer wasn’t moving, he growled at him. Shockingly he jumped.

“Okay, I’m going. Hold your horses”

He shut the door and Gin rolled his eyes. Only 4’9”, and he still could make 6’5’’ tall men scared of him when he growled and revealed his fox side. He was a shape shifter, as was his boyfriend Lance, who stripped at the club. He leaned against the building and sighed. He wanted to punch something, the door opened and a different bouncer who the markings of the Saydon Clan, a pack of wolf shapeshifers that worked for Sebastian, the most powerful vampire in all the city and scariest. He had no remorse and killing never bothered him in the slightest. Only his second in command, Luc kept him under control. They led Gin through a dark tunnel that led to Sebastian’s place under the club. There were more guards when they reached a room with two very large doors. Gin almost was pushed back by the power that seeping from the cracks in the door, but stood up straighter. All the guards nodded at one another and the doors opened and Sebastian was a very large red and black bed in a magnificent room, feeding on two very naked young ladies. One brunette and the other was a red head. They had blood dripping from bites on their throat and breast. One was giggling as he fed on her, her arms wrapped around his neck, and her head thrown back in ecstasy. The other was somewhat dazed from the rush of blood lost. Powers seem to flow about Sebastian.

One of the guards cleared their throat and Sebastian looked up from his meal. He motioned for the guards to leave. Then he turned vivid blue, blood shot eyes to Gin, his eyes were turning back to their normal blue, blue eyes.

“Tell me about The Child.”

“She been taken by Lona’s people. They hope to break her, so they can control-“

“This can’t be true, we had a pact-“

“And she has broken the pact, Sebastian.”

His blue eyes narrowed, his wavy golden hair was falling into his perfect face. His skin was as pale as death, but was quickly beginning flushed with the blood he had drunken. He looked like a fallen angel with blood staining his perfect mouth. He hissed, baring cherry colored fangs. His hands clenched. He moved his long limbed body from underneath the woman.

“Who have you heard this from?”

“Marco.”

“Why did he not come to me with this information?”

“He’s dead.”

“Lona?”

He nodded and saw Sebastian was very angry. He jumped from his bed, much to the disappointment of the blood mind twisted girls on his bed, who yearned for the feel of his fangs again. He stood up, his body was nicely portioned and muscular. He stretched out his hand and Gin felt power began to grow around as his anger grew. Opening his close palm, the doors behind Gin opened. And Sebastian turned giving Gin the full view of his backside.

“Leave me. I’ll deal with this matter.”

Anger was barely contained in his speech.

Gin bowed and left out the doors that slammed shut behind him and even as he walked down the hall to the club he could hear the screams of the woman and the sounds of bones being crunched.

He saw Luc on his way out of the club talking to one of the guards. Luc was the opposite of Sebastian in everyway but none less the handsome. Dark, where Sebastian was Light. Raven curls that he pushed to the side of his, he was always serious but not without compassion unlike Sebastian. Long dark lashes that softened his face, which always held a cool expression, surrounded his pale green eyes. He had been turned young at the age of 23 but was almost as old the master himself. He had a lean body and board shoulders, that his hair went pass. As second in command, he was often found trying to build pacts with the other shape shifters and to keep the peace. His eyes were at times memorizing because their color was rare and as if they had been made of jade. They turned to Gin, who flinched and headed out but Luc got to him.

“Gin. What’s up?”

Gin put a hand on his shoulder and leaned in to his ear.

“The Child.”

Luc’s eyes widen before he stepped away.

“Where?”

Gin shrugged.

“All we know right now is Lona, but I’ve just inform Sesbastian.”

He nodded and turned to leave.

“I’d wait a couple moments. He is very angry.”

Luc nodded as his eyes blocked out any emotion as he turned to go face. He found Sebastian dress in a black dress shirt and ironed dress pants with a tie the color of his eyes. His hair was pulled back in a ponytail, the room around him was plastered with blood and the bed was soaked with. Pieces of flesh and bone were evident on the wall and chucks of brown hair with scalp still attached to it fall from the ceiling, near Luc’s foot. Sebastian turned to Luc with a sheepish smile. Luc didn’t smile back. He had seen worse in his day but still there was no need for useless killing as this.

“I know I need to control my temper. Is Gin still alive?”

“Yes, he is staying here until this cools over.”

“Good. Very wise of him. Come let’s go to Lona’s.”

He said as he began to step over the bigger chuck of the women he had viciously murdered, without a second thought.

The doors shut behind them.
