Two teenage girls enter a cafe. What they were talking about before does not matter. The first girl, Alicia, is beautiful, athletic, and everything else, the second girl, Chris (Christina) is pretty, but not beautiful, and not athletic enough. They have been best friends for a couple years, after finding out that they both come from abusive homes.
Alicia, remarking on a poster outside the door, 'Abortion stops a beating heart':
I am against abortion, what about you?
Chris, without missing a beat: Depends on the situation.
A: How so?
C: Well, if the girl was raped, she shouldn't have to have the baby.
A: Most people say that. But if she was raped how does it make it right to kill a child who has had no chance to live?
C: It doesn’t make it right, but it would be easier on the child and mother alike.
A: How do you figure that?
C: Well, if the mother had the child and she gave them up, the child would end up in a foster care, probably growing up wondering why his mother hated him. He would not have a good life.
A: But there are good foster homes.
C: Yes, there are, but there are also bad foster homes, and if he is moved around, chances are that his will find one of the bad ones.
A: What if she keeps the child?
C: She will most likely me re-live the rape every time she sees the child. She wouldn't be able to keep from hating him and that would be worse than a foster home.
A: But if we let him live, he could grow up to cure cancer, or world hunger!
C: He could also go on killing spree or become a terrorist, child molester, or even a rapist. Then the cycle starts all over again.
A: You you will never know unless you let him live! You will never know if she could have overcome her pain and loved the child. You will never know if he would have become a great doctor or scientist or helped millions!
C: That's just it, we'll never know. It’s their right to decide, and that's how it should be.
The girls leave the cafe, and their words fade from our hearing.

Even if the length was quite short, at least both sides were argued. It says a bit about your viewpoint that the pretty, beautiful one is the one making the arguments against abortion. Just interesting is all. Thanks for submitting this.
