The Danger of SW

Storywrite.com is a terrific site where many creative people can write their stories online and others who are not so creative [and perhaps lazy] can read the works of creative [and non-lazy] people. On this site, you'll eve get to INTERACT with the AUTHORS. Not their secretary or any of 'their people'. It is also very safe with no perverted, fat-ass, 96 year old men who are looking at porn all day long looking forward to raping little boys and girls. It also contains no criminals seeking to haunt you down and come to your house with a purple gooey monster in his jacket that will eat your head off.

This site reassures you of many problems a writer and a reader may face such as: [For the writers] Breaking a pencil and having to walk all the way to the end of the world to get a pencil sharpener [or if you're more of an ink person, the ink running out and you having to go on a quest to the rainforest to retrieve more ink]. You do not have to worry about running out of paper or a paper ripping on you. You do not have to worry about losing all the pieces of your paper to your dog who just happens to love chewing on paper enriched with delicious words.[For the readers] Getting those nasty paper cuts that could eventually kill you with THE AIDS!!!!!..eh hem. Running out of books or stories or poems to read while you're on a boring, boring vacation underwater with the fish. You never have to worry about lugging those thick heavy books around and then later paying a fine for returning them late or perhaps just pay for the book if you bought it/lost it to a black hole in your closet.

But little do the people know, there is often a danger lurking around in the depths of the dark corners of this site. It goes by the name of 'Addiction'. Who is this 'Addiction' I talk of, you may ask. It is what is keeping you on this very site and making you read every one of these words I am typing into the box right now. It hides itself with its invisibility cloak as it approaches you inch by inch on its slow, uncoordinated 'legs'. You will not hear, see, smell, feel, or taste it coming because it works slowly into your blood and mind [and keeps very good hygiene]. Gradually after agonizing weeks, it will complete its goal: entrapping you to this site. It will never ever let its grip on you go as long as you live. You will be caught by 'Addiction'.

You ask "How is this 'Addiction' fella dangerous?"

I answer with a series of results you will get as a consequence of letting 'Addiction' kidnap you.

**You will be kidnapped.
**You will no longer have a life.
**You will lose all live forms of social interaction.
**Your priorities will be jumbled up.
**You will rush to get homework done right before it's due.
**You will slack off on many things.
**You will become a computer addict.
**You will no longer find fun in many activities.
**You will become a fat-ass.
**You will never see another bottle of coke.
**You will be sucked into the depths of this site-forever...

You may say, "You're over reacting." or "This 'Addiction' does not exist. Or if you do believe in what I have said, you will think, "I'll be careful enough to not let 'Addiction' kidnap me."

But dear readers, you will be kidnapped whether it's day or night. Whether you're on this site outside or inside. Whether it's at work or at school. Whether it's in the garage or the kitchen. You WILL be kidnapped. This 'Addiction' is very dangerous and unavoidable unless you take these precautions:

First, equipped yourself with a timer and a reliable strong person who holds no interest in this site. Next, st the timer to a certain number of SENSIBLE hours. Then, place the time by your ear and the person behind you. Finally, when the timer rings, have the person rip you away out of your seat and away from the computer [by all means if necessary].

If you take these precautions, you will be safe. If you don't, you will be kidnapped!!!!!

Author notes

Hehe, I was bored. I felt random as I sat here eating a now cold chicken sandwich. And yes, I am addicted for 'Addiction' kidnapped me...I still have to study for 2 tests and quizzes and a forensics competition on Monday. How much have I gotten done? I'll answer when I start..

This was so wonderfully random and I’ll admit made me both laugh and cringe. Laugh because it’s so funny and cringe because it’s so true. I have four essays to finish for Tuesday and instead I’m sitting here judging this contest.

You’ve written this really well, and it was truly a joy to read *damn I’ve used that so many times today…I’m going to go eat a dictionary after this* Keep up the good work, as soon as this is over I look forward to reading more of your work.

Now to the essays! *who do I think I’m kidding?*

Thank you so much for entering this contest, it fills all the criteria of what I was looking for. Plus a little humor in with it, that's great. I'm not sure I would have used the numbers as a way to explain it but it was still a good story.
Double check your spelling though, you've a few errors that are easily fixed.
    Good luck in the contest!
