Forgotten Lover

He sat on the bench and watched her. I couldn't decide whether to go over to her and say hello or to leave it. He watched her play with his little boy, running after him. He could hear his boy squealing and laughing. It burnt his heart. Would she remember him? She wasn't suppost to, but maybe she did. Maybe the spell was broken? Spell? How did he even know if it was a spell? Maybe it was a curse, cause it sure was hurting him. And don't most curses hurt people? He thought so.

She caught his little boy in her soft and gentle arms and hugged him. His little boy squealed with delight. How he longed to go over there and kiss them both. She looked up in his direction, but her eyes just floated over him. He sighed and got up. Why had he been so stupid? Like she would ever remember him. He deserved this. It was his fault. He had to pay.

I picked up my hair brush and began brushing my hair. I glanced at my watched and cursed. I was late.

'Romeo??? Are you ready?' I called.

'Not yet!' came the answer.

'Well, hurry, hunny, we're late!' I cried back. Suddenly the phone began to ring. She sighed and picked up the phone and mumbled a hello. The caller had hung up. She cursed and slammed down the phone. 'Damn prank-callers!' she thought.

'I'm ready mum!' Romeo called.

'Okay! I'll be two seconds!' she called abck, trying to get the tangle out of her hair. The phone rang again, 'Sweetie, can you get that?' she asked. She heard Romeo pick up the phone in the hall.

'Hello?' he asked. He was silent for a few seconds, then said hello again.

'If theres no one there then just hang up,' I called to him. I heard him put the phone back on the wall. He came into my room.

'There was no one there,' he told me. I sighed and just nodded. I quickly tied my hair up, then grabbed my bag and car keys. We hurried out the door and jumped into the car.

'Only a couple of minutes late,' I reasured my son. Suddenly my mobile began to ring, 'Og go away!' I sighed, now angry. I tossed my phone onto the back seat and asked Romeo to answer my phone, again id there was no one there, to hang up.

'Hello?' he asked. I half listened, still driving the car.

'Sorry, she's driving. Who is this?' he asked. How grown up he sounded, though he was only seven.

'Yes, I tell her, goodbye,' he answered and hung up.

'Who wa sit?' I asked.

'I don't know, someone called Trusion,' he smirked at the name.

'Trusion?' I blurted out. Somehow it sounded strangely famililar, but I couldn't put a name to it. I thought hard, but it was useless. I put it to the back of my mind, promising myself I'd think about it later.

'He asked you to call him back sometime,' Romeo said. I nodded and that was the last mentioned of the matter.

I dropped Romeo off at his friends house. He was having a party, then he was staying over. No one minded us being a little late, which was good.

I was lying awake at night, thinking about the name Trusion. The wind was howling at my window. I couldn't sleep. I could hear the rain, and suddenly a flash of lightening blinded me. I sat up in my bed. I thought about Romeo and how he hated storms. He'd be fine, I told myself. Hopefully, I added. I was looking out the window, when I saw him. I didn't feel fear, but I was curious. Who was he? What did he want? And why was he looking throught my window at 2am?

Please tell me what you think

the beginning was very confusing... i had a lot of trouble figuring out what point of view it was coming from. it seemed to be skipping around.

after that it was good. i agree that it seems very natural. there were a couple spelling mistakes but nothing too big.
