Wired

All across the floor the scattered shards of glass shimmered in a collective numeration of electrical cross-wires. What was the reason for their breaking? If I told you that I would have to go into excessive detail to define the nature of the cause would you retract your inquiry?

Much can be said about the manner in which I watched the glass fall into its various pieces and settle in the exact way that it had. What matter was this of yours? Why did it all have to be about why it had happened and not into looking to the future and discovering the latent outcomes of said event? Could this have changed the very course of existence? It was my hope that it had! Since every day was longer than the last with nothing worth noting or making mention of.

This broken glass could be a ticket to the paradise that I had always hoped to achieve, but had never had the heart to set into action its acquisition! Now I could fly through the open window and soar into the depths of space and see all the sights which were worthy of viewing in the massive universe of infinite possibility! It was so thrilling to know that further options had suddenly revealed themselves to be within my reach and I could do nothing but stand in ecstatic joy upon reflecting on the wonder and pure perfection of what was about to commence!

Nothing could stop me now as I made my way to the center of all that was good and left all things evil sitting unaware, left in my dust! It all made so much sense that this window had decided to break at that exact moment in world history! The significance of this event cannot readily be seen by all, but only by those who are able to connect the wars of old to the tops of the staggering peaks of many mountains on distant planets and all throughout the world on which we lived. I could run and jump through the empty space of this shattered window and lead a life worth living, a life that is often sought but seldom had! I would be lucky enough to be one of the select few who could truly appreciate and understand this event to its fullest potential!

Now get out of my way as I follow through with the exhilarating destiny that is mine to claim! My name is written all over the shattered glass and it is high time to get going, for I have no time left to lose! Maybe one day I will see you in eternity, but for now this is goodbye. I wish you luck on your future endeavors, but I must be off, off to reside in the perfect harmony of natural and never ending miracles, which is not something to be left waiting.

Tolstoy's Butterflies. Is it suicide or a portal to another dimension being opened? I couldn't tell, and that was a good thing, it left me pondering and thinking while I read. The whole story probably takes place in a minute or so, but it is so deep. I loved it!
