You wait at home alone
Biding your time till you hear the news
On the sofa
Twiddle your thumbs
Wipe the sweat from your brow
....Still waiting for the news are we?
They should be here any minute now
Go get a drink, calm it down
Wash the pain away
But don’t you cry, no not yet
You haven’t gotten the news
...Now you start to shake
They should be here any second now
Hey look at all the flashing lights
Bright lights
Red and Blue, Red and Blue, Red and Blue
They walk up the steps
Knock on the door
...Knock on the door
“He won’t answer” they say.
“Well, try again. Ring the doorbell or something.”
They knock, They ring
Ring ring, Ring ring
Finally you emerge only to hear...
“I’m sorry sir, There’s nothing we could do.”
Finally you get the news...Now’s the time to cry
SHE’S DEAD
And she even wore her seat belt
Now you see, There’s understanding in a car crash
You gain knowledge not known before
But then again you lose something too
You lose that person....
And then you start to drift
From your family
And friends
Death effects everyone
Not just you
All the people around you lose someone too
They lose you
To a head on collision
Please tell me what you think

This was a very good poem in my opinion.
It's very true that, for every death, everyone suffers... not just you or whoever may have the most major role in the decease's life. This poem did well in explaining that. -
A little confusing
The beginning is somewhat confusing. Is the car crash in front of the house? Besides that, you did a great job in breaking down a catastrophe, but is it better that way?
beginning: 3, language: 3, ending: 4.
