As 2017 draws to a close I write to you all so you know how my family has grown and changed. It has been an amazing year and I look to the new one with hope.
We rounded out our family this year with Ella Jo, born October 31. My halloween baby, how appropriete. She's got her dad's down turned eyes like the other kids but I think the color is going to surprise us all. Even at 2 months they are darkening from the blue of all babies. I think she may end up with my mothers hazel eyes instead of the varying shades of blue of the other kids. She will be our last, I've had Kent make sure of that

Elizabeth started Kindergarden this year. She loves it, she says painting is her favorite. She has a best friend named December (I must admit I wonder some about my generations name choices) who is a very sweet child. December takes ballet classes and Elizabeth is wanting to as well now. We're thinking if she's still interested after the holidays we'll give it a shot.
The twins are as ruff and tumble as ever. At 3-years-old, I like to call them the Smash brothers, Elizabeth doesn't get the reference. Gwlyn and Oren are they're grandfather's boys though. They watch football with their dad and wrestle with eachother constantly. I think I'm going to just put everything breakable away for the next 10 years. For those of you who can't tell, Gwlyn is in the black and Oren is in the red in the christmas picture, even I can't tell them apart without their personalities.
As for Kent and I, we celebrated our 10th aniversery this year. My parents drove up for the weekend and watched the kids while we had a night on the town. At work Kent is now working on... whoops not supposed to talk about it yet
but he's very excited about it and can't wait for it to hit the market. I'll be picking up some hours at the zoo after the holiday. One of the tigers just had a couple cubs she's not taking good care of and I'm trying to talk Kent into letting me be foster mother. It'd be nice to have some cubs around the house again besides my own.Well that's about it. Hope everyone had a great year and a great one to come.
Love,
Kent, Megan, Elizabeth, Gwlyn, Oren, and Ella Swedlund
