Dear Me, Myself, and I,1
Oh yeah...and Dear Diary.2
Today was just like any other day. Being perfect is hard I know. Because that is what I am. I am popular, beautiful, and a senior. Everyone wants to be me.3
I woke up this morning and shaved my legs, as usual. Heaven forbid that I may have stubble! I blew dry my bleached-blond hair so it was straight. Make-up was the usual, smoky eyes, red lips, and tanned skin. I left my house perfect, of course.4
I was late for school yet again. I can't be bothered with things that interfere with my social life. The day flew by. The cute boys talked with me, of course. What else would they do?5
I went home to call my girlfriends on my pink cell phone. We all had dates tonight. We talked about what we should wear. I'm wearing a mini skirt and a cute tube top. I just have to add some more make-up.6
I went out with what's-his-name. He's cool and all, but not my type. He's on the football team. However, he's not a quarter-back or team captain. I dumped him.7
As I lay here writing I'm thinking about the future. Tomorrow maybe I'll wear my short shorts and a halter. That should get the attention of the point guard of the basketball team. He's so cute. And soon, he'll be mine.8

Author notes
I look around my school there are a group of girls that think they are all that. I took on their attitude's and tried to write what was going on in my mind. I tried to make it kind of funny as well, but I'm not sure I succeeded.
Oh yeah, this is a prewrite.

terrific satirical writing! you've captured a stereotype very well. (and of course, stereotypes come from real people we observe.
good write. and good luck in the contest. -
It is very funny! Took my mind off of a few things that are bothering me lately... made me wonder if that's really how they thing?
If it is, I don't envy them! (Not that I really envy them anyways...)
Anyway, great write. Sorry it took me so long to comment on it, and good luck in my contest! Thanks for entering.
