InuYasha: Enter the Dream Chapter I: Malevora and Kagome's Subconcious

"Dream...dream while you still can Kagome, its only a matter of time before you can dream no longer. Sometimes I wish like hell that you weren't the one, that Kikyo was dead and Naraku never existed...but you are the one, the one I've been waiting for...for so long."

These words carried Kagome Higurashi down into sleep, she was but for a moment uncomfortable, but as InuYasha entwined his strong arms around her, she was only aware of his warmth, his comfort, his love. She took a deep breath, and gently rode the waves down into unconsciousness.

From a tree in the forest above, a shadow moved from branch to branch, a shadow unseen, a shadow unknown, and as Kagome left the living world into the world of dreams, the shadow rested on her bosom, gently sinking down into her.

The shadow began to ravage her mind, eating all her memories, and it began to move deeper into the deeper recesses of her mind...The shadow was a shadow no more.

A woman stepped forth into the bubble of Kagome's Subconscious mind, her naked breasts heaving as she breathed. Deep within this creature, two shards of the shikon jewel resided, each shard part of the hairpiece that held her long, fiery hair in thrall.

The dreaming Kagome began to sense the shards of the Shikon Jewel and awaken...

"Oh no you don't, bitch!" The woman screamed and gently touched the shroud that was the edge of Kagome's subconscious mind. The shroud began to harden until it was no longer a gentle curtain, but an impenetrable boundary.

Kagome ran at the shield, which was now the edge of a small crystal ball, and was shocked when she ran headfirst into it. "No! You can't do this!" She screamed.

The woman looked down at her. "Awake are ye, bitch? I can do whatever I please now, and you can't do anything to stop me. You can watch as I kill your half-breed bastard boyfriend, and devour his soul."

Kagome receded into the ball, tears streaming down her face. "InuYasha, be careful, you have no idea of the danger you are in..."

* * *

InuYasha awoke, to streaming sunshine and the sounds of birds chirping in the forests nearby, but something was strange.

"Where's Kagome?" He thought to himself.

* * *

"Kagome" looked around her new surroundings, she was going to have fun with this body, and she couldn't wait.

* * *

Sango, Shippo, Miroku, and Kirarra were sitting down to breakfast, waiting for InuYasha, when Kagome stormed into the campsite, the hanyou at her heels.

"You should know better than to walk off and leave without someone to protect you, what would have happened if Naraku had kidnapped you in the night, or worse, Kikyo could have shown up and killed you!" InuYasha yelled, a worried look in his eyes.

"Oh, so I have to have you with me every second of the day huh?!" "Kagome" turned, rage burning in her gentle brown eyes.

"What? No! All I meant was tell someone before you run off!" InuYasha pleaded.

"Oh, so I have to tell someone when I'm going to take a bath so that someone can stand over the cliff and watch me?! That's really mature, InuYasha!"

"Talk to me about maturity, I ask you to do me the simple favor of letting me know where you are, and you throw a temper tantrum like a little baby!"

Kagome's expression darkened...

"Baby?!!" She turned, backhanding InuYasha. "How dare you call me a baby! Sit!"

The prayer beads around InuYasha's neck began to glow, and he fell, facefirst, into the ground.

"Mmmfffmmmbbbfffmmm!" He yelled, his voice muffled by the dirt that was in his face.

"What did you say?! Sit! Sit!! SIT!!!"

InuYasha, further propelled by the gravity of the prayer beads, sank deeper into the ground until he was surrounded by an indention six feet deep.

Shippo turned to the others. "Geez, do you think she's mad today?" He asked.

Sango and Miroku nodded.

"Lets go eat by the pond." Sango suggested.

The foursome vanished.

"Kagome," noticing that she was alone, walked to the indention and knelt down, grabbing InuYasha by the hair, and pulling him up, throwing him into a tree nearby.

Great dark clouds began boiling over the horizon, slowly darkening the skies.

InuYasha glared at Kagome with eyes of hatred.

"I think it's time I introduce myself," she said. As she spoke, Kagome's body began to decay and melt away, leaving a tall, pale woman with fiery red hair, which flowed down over her naked body like a flowing river of magma, the beforementioned hairpiece was her only clothing, it kept her hair out of her bleak green eyes. On her shoulder, she carried Kagome's bookbag, empty, except for a small round bulge in the side pocket.

"I am Malevora," the woman stated. "Demoness of the Night, I am here to kill you, bastard half-breed!"

InuYasha glared at Kagome's remains, a single tear dropped from his eyes, to be replaced by blind hatred and fury, his eyes began to glow red.

"Oh no," Malevora mused. "No demon powers for you!"

The great clouds above choked off every ounce of light, blotting out even the unseen moon's light. InuYasha's silver hair grew dull and blackened, his dog ears melting down his face until they settled on the side, now human ears. His nails grew short, his powers were gone. He was fully human.

Malevora lunged at him, pinning him to the ground with her knee, from a pocket she drew a dagger, and poised it over her head, ready to strike...

* * *

Kagome saw InuYasha's impending death, and she cried, reaching with every ounce of her soul to save InuYasha.

* * *

From Malevora's pocket, unseen hands reached out, grabbing InuYasha and pulling not only him, but Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirarra into her subconcious.

Malevora drew the crystal from her pocket. "So you think ye won, do ye bitch!" She yelled. "Just you wait!"

Kagome heard the words, and her eyes filled with tears once more, she cried.

Please tell me what you think
