Lucy's art filled yawn-ful day

I am Lucy, being plain and boring, I observe. In dead silence, i stare. 1

"Lucy?" A sweet voice called me.2

Awakening i replied back, "Oh, Mom, sorry, what?"3

"I am going to the store to get some supplies, are you okay?" She went over to feel my forehead.4

I brushed her away, "Mom! Please. Does 15 ring a bell? I'm just tired. Go, have fun!"5

She always is going to the store to get supplies. She is an artist. She can do anything. Her work is extraordinary.6

I'm at home. There isn't anything much to look at, but my mind always finds something.7

Am I really tired? My eyes are closing. 8

"Lucy? Lucy? Honey, wake up." My moms voice went through me again, "You've been asleep hours now. I came home and figured let her sleep. But no! Its dinner. I let it go for hours, but now you definitely must wake up. We have guest."9

"Guest?"10

"The people wanting to buy my art." She sat next to me, "It's important. Please wash your face and come down."11

"Alright" i moaned.12

I washed my face and raced down stairs.13

A woman who looked uptight was sitting on our blue couch, she would go under the category of old! Her husband was next to her.14

Being me, all I did was stare at the wrinkles on her chin. I did;t even notice. Then i drilled! My Mom nudged me.15

"Lucy? Hon, how about you go upstairs and do your homework?" 16

I was done with it, but got her. Couldn't spoil my Mom's art by my stupidity.17

I went upstairs and fell back asleep.18

The next morning my mom woke me up and started jumping.19

"Lucy!" She sung, "The Winkminers bought my painting of you asleep! I did it last i night, as a just in case. They saw it and loved it. That other stuff they hated, we can hang it in your room!" She smiled, "In a museum! Its going in a museum!"20

Well, my leaving worked out. Wow, i don't care about that. My Mom did great! I'm happy for her. I'm happy for the museum, they just got a picture of me. Me! No! A picture of me!21

"Mom!" I shouted, "We need to talk!"...22
