The Tale of True Love

In a land where the animals talked there was a dog named Dawfy Doo Doo. Dawfy stood about six feet two inches tall, had blue eyes, and dark brown fur. He weighed about one hundred and ninety-five pounds, he was a very good looking dog. He was a really popular and smart dog as well. He graduated valedictorian of his class and was going to go on to college but, he didn't want to go to any community college. He wanted to go to either Yale or Harvard, and not to be mnean but none of his friends were smart enough to go to either one. Dawfy had heard that both schools had great football teams and he was the star football quarterback for the Doggy High School team, the Biscuits.

Days went by and he was accepted into both schools and he finally after some thinking he picked Harvard. Well Dawfy was really upset about leaving his friends behind but he new he'd make some more. When the time came for him to leave he cot in his 2009 Mustang convertible and drove on to college. When he arrived he had no problem making friends and he even had a few dates for the next week. He seemed really happy but he was hiding everything so well, really Dawfy was homesick and his friends were just using him.

He finally got so sick of it that he decided he would make the perfect friend for himself. He thought now would be the perfect time since they were out for Christmas Break and his roomate had went home to be with his family. That night he went to his treehouse up in the attic of his apartment. After days of creating chemicals and methods of life he had created what he thought would be the perfect friend. Then when he looked at her he dropped to his knees in tears. She was the ugliest thing he had ever saw in his life. This thing had a penguin beak, chicken eyes, cat paws, an elephant trunk, donkey ears and a giraffe neck. He jus looked and looked at the ugly creature trying to decide whether to run and hide or stand there and become the things friend. He decided to hide because he didn't want anybody to know what a disaster he had made in his lab.

That thing got up and went outside to breathe her first breath of air. Everyone on the block started to make fun of the odd new creature. The dog heard this and started to feel kind of bad for letting the thing he had made into the giant cruel world on it's own. The creature started to cry and Dawfy Doo Doo went outside and told them to stop making fun of his new friend. Well after the dog got everyone to stop making fun of her he named her Groky Groo Groo and explained how he had made her in his little lab. She thanked him for giving her life.

They were really close friends for a while. Dawfy started having feelings he had never felt before. He quickly realized he was falling in love with Groky Groo Groo. She was secretly falling for him too but she didn't know she felt the same. Then one day Dawfy's feelings got too strong and he knew he had to be with her. He went to the bone store and bought her a necklace made of fourteen karet bone. When they went out that night he asked her to marry him. The excited Groky Groo Groo said "yes Dawfy Doo Doo i will marry you."

So it was settled they were to be married the next day. They got married and two months later you would never beleive the site. They had a baby named Jicky Jokco this baby was very odd she had eyes of hot pink pearls and scaly blackish blue skin and she had the long body of a weiner dog and the tail of a cow she had the beak of a duck and a neck like a human. She stood about six foot tall and the only word she knew was ribbit and she kind of hopped and slithered at the same time every where she would go. They lived happily ever after even though nobody liked them but they didn't care they had each other they didn't need anybody else

    Adorable

This is a great children's story, whimsical and great descriptions. The names are hilarious, even the football team There's a good moral to this story, however I feel you could expand upon it by having neighbors and family and friends realizing that they are sweet people, ah dog/creature, LOL. Just my opinion, of course. You have a great imagination. Great work!

Where to begin, where to begin? I like this story. It's short but satirical. The dog's name is funny, too. It reminds me of something my best friend, Jessica, would say. I can really picture her prank-calling one of our exes and screaming, "Dawfy doo-doooo!" It has a good beginning and middle but the end could use a little work.

The grammar and spelling are a little off in some parts, to let you know. It's still a good story. Good work with this, good luck in the contest and thank you for your submission.
