Jay and "The Thing" Part 1

               [Prologue : ”A long way back.“]3

[ The camera swoops down from the sky towards two men dressed in camoflauge.. each holding a hunting rifle.. they sat silently in their tree stands.. untill something takes one of the mens attention. ]5

One of the men spoke quickly.. noticing a disturbance in the clearing.6

“ Colt.. wake up.. its so damn cold.. and I think I see something. “7

Colt opened his eyes turning to him and sighing.8

“ What? Ya see a deer? “ he said whispering.9

The man didn’t say anything.. he just pointed out past a few leaning tree branches.. looking through them they could see what looked like smoke.10

“ We wont be able to get anything around his with all this smog crap. “ The hunter said shaking his head.11

Colt replied “ It’s a long way back we might as well see whats going on before we head out. “12

The hunter mumbled in a low voice as they got down out of their tree stands. “ This is some bullshit.. we finally get to go on a hunting trip in Colorado and theres a fucking forest fire… “13

[ The two teenage hunters got to the ground with rifles in hand, still not knowing if it was a person trying to make trouble or an accident, they made there way past tree after tree trying to find where all the thick clouds of black smoke came from.. they finally reached the source, it was coming from a burning log cabin along the side of a lake. ]14

Colt looked confused.. he didn’t see anyone standing around.. or any sign of life.15

“ What happened here? “16

The other man turned to Colt and looked surprised.17

“ I don’t know but I think I see somebody inside the rubble.18

Colton looked to his friend and pointed over to the arm hanging out of the side window.19

“ Go check it out Eric. “20

[ Eric was reluctant but he approached the log cabin seeing the arm that he spotted a moment ago.. he reached out slowly and touched it, The arm fell back down into the smoldering embers of the fire inside the rubble, though he could of swore it looked like it had jumped. ]21

Eric turned back to Colt and shrugged a bit.22

“ I don’t think they got out in time.. “23

[ As soon as he turned back a light bit of snow fell from the sky.. they didn’t know that it winter was supposed to be beginning untill a few weeks. ]24

Colton brushed off a few of the snow flakes and looked back to the trail then to Eric.25

“ Were pretty far from town but I think the Rangers should know about this dude. “26

Eric began to walk to Colton and nodded his head in agreement.27

“ Lets get going then before I freeze to death. “28

[ Suddenly before they got two steps from the smoking cabin Colt turns around hearing something rumble from inside the wreckage. ]29

Colton arched a brow and turned back looking behind Eric.30

“ Shhh.. whats that noise? “31

[ Out from under a plank of smoldering wood a White Huskey steps out onto the grass looking them right in the eyes. ]32

Eric smiled seeing there was a survivor.. not to mention it looked like a pure breed and he could make a lot of money off of it.33

“ Hey that dog must of made it out ok. “34

Colt really didn’t want anything else to slow them down but he folded his arms and motioned them to hurry up.35

“ Yeah it seems a little spooked though.. bring it along back to town. “36

[ With that they all began to walk off into the woods leaving the camp to burn and hide its secrets under the snow untill its tragedy happened to the next unsuspecting travelers. ]37
