Stoplight

Stoplight what color are you?1

In my mind I see no real color view.2

Does red mean to stop or to go?3

Color red, so bold and strong.4

We put on the brakes and come to   5

halt as we follow along. 6

Stoplight what color are you?7

In my mind I see no real color view.8

Does yellow mean to slow or to go?9

Color yellow cowardly follows red to slow.10

Yellow so bright, so blinding in sun light.11

Stoplight what color are you?12

In my mind I see no real color view.13

Does green mean to stop or to go?14

Color green so full all aglow.15

We know now we don't have to stop,16

until we come back to the top.17

Thankyou, the day I wrote this, I didn't know what "alternative reality" was. My son explained and gave me this idea to write about it. So, I give some of credit to him and I came up with the poem. Saddie23

This made me think again about what we associate with each colour. Should it be "what colour are you?" instead of "or" you? Nice use of rhythm and repetition.
