Charmed: CROATON (Chapter 2)

Chris orbed into Phoebe's office. She had been working on writing her newest column when she became startled and found out that Chris nearly exposed himself because he orbed into her office. He was lucky that Phoebe had her door shut.

"Chris! What are you doing here?" she nearly exclaimed to Chris.

"You just can't walk out on Piper. There is a demon to hunt." Chris stated.

"Well, you just can't orb in here and get yourself exposed. I have a life, you know and a job. Don't you understand?" Phoebe said.

"I do, but still. Piper needs you. And with Leo gone for a while..." Chris trailed off. Leo had to leave for a while and been more of an older. It was only for a few weeks or a couple of months. It was kind of bother Piper, but she didn't say anything. Everyone knew it was killing her though.

"Don't you dare bring Leo in this, Chris. Look, when I'm done here, I'll go back home, okay?" Phoebe replied with a sigh. Chris didn't like the idea. He rather have Phoebe come home now, but he didn't feel like arguing with her. And plus, he had to try to get Paige to come home.

"Fine. After work, go back to the manor. I'm going to go get Paige since you won't come." he said.

"What's the power of two going to do? You need the power of three to defeat that demon!" Phoebe replied to Chris as he orbed.

"Paige, there's someone here to see you." Laura said to Paige. Laura was Paige's co-worker at the Painting Factory.

"Send them in." Paige said.

Paige wasn't surprised to see Chris come into her little office. She knew that Chris would be coming for her and make her go back to the manor so she can vanquish that demon with her sisters.

"Let me guess, you want me to come home with you." Paige guessed and it was the right answer.

"Yeah. Now come on, let's go. Piper's waiting." Chris replied. Piper was really waiting for her, Chris only said that so he could get her home.

"The sooner we go, the faster you'll be back at work."

Paige shook her head and stood up from her chair. She would have gone back to Halliwell Manor, but with all of this work she had to do, there was no way that she could possibly go back home now. Usually, family is her number one concern, but not today. Paige didn't want to get fired. She could really use the money and she wanted to help out with paying all the bills. Chris would just have to understand and respect that.

"I'm not going. I can't just leave. I have lots of work to do. Now if you excuse me, I have a costumer to take care of. He's interesting in buying paintings." she said to Chris. Chris told her to come straight home after work so they can vanquish the demon and then he left.
