Nothing is Nothing!!

What is nothing? A void, an abyss, a vaccuum, a big empty hole.

What does it mean? It means nothing, yet it means everything.

We use it everyday.

When we see a bum on the street we say that he's a good for nothing and he won't amount to nothing and so we want nothing to do with him.

We make something of nothing and think nothing of it. And we make much ado about nothing and we whisper sweet nothings. We don't know beans from nothing, not to mention nothing of stopping at nothing.

We leave nothing to be desired when we have nothing on. And we leave the stadium in nothing flat when the final score was 5 to nothing!

We swear to tell nothing but the truth and we want nothing but the best.

To end my little story, I'm happy with my life and I want for nothing!

    A motto for life!

Sylvia, my dear friend...this is just wonderful and awe inspiring. I love the optimism and the insight into the human psyche and soul. You're a giften woman, not just in your talent but in your capacity for compassion. God bless you, Stephanie x

Short, sweet and very informative. I hadn't realised how much the word truly means.

I'm glad I stopped by and read this.

Good luck with the contest. If it was voted on, I'd vote for this one.

    Good Piece.

I did enjoy this piece, I keep saying that poetry is not really my bag but the more that I read of it the more I seem to like.

I tend to like humor and have written a few pieces and would live any feedback you could give me.

All the best and keep up the good work.

Interesting story. A very quick read and straight to the point. It can be confusing at times by the arrangement of the words but overall, this is a bit funny and comical in a way. Nice piece of work.
