If God Gave You the Chance!

What would you say if God gave you the chance to re-live your life?

Would you take the chance to do good for your fellow man or would you just say, "No, I have already lived my life to the fullest."

God in His infinite wisdom knows that we all would love to live a better life.

I for one would take the chance to not only do good for others, but I would take time to smell the daisies instead of being so busy with the daily grind of things.

I would be sure to spend more quality time with my children and teach them about the simple things of life, like watching the squirrels romp around the yard, or the ants working together for the good of each other. If only we as humans could learn from their actions, oh, what a better world this would be.

I would enjoy each sunrise and sunset and not worry that it's Monday again. God gave these to us for a reason, not just to divide the day.

I would not take for granted all that I have and think myself better than the next, for we are all here for the same reason, because God loves us!

I would take the time to visit the sick and elderly in the hopes of making their last days happy. God only knows how lonely they must be because sometimes He is the only friend they have. To brighten their days would be a gift from God.

I would sit on the park bench and watch the world go by as I contemplated this wonderful chance that God was offering me and I would smile at Him and say, "Yes God, I will take your offer, when do I start?"

    me too

why is it we start to figure things out so late in life? So little time... at least that's what we think right now... how will it be when time goes away? When we no longer have the perspective of time? hmmmm. that could be a cool piece... off I go. oh yeah, before I go... this is a very nice piece, you have inspired me. thanks - Kevin

This a beautiful story. I've thought about that sometimes. At sixteen, I already feel like I'm getting old. I want the chance to relive all the years that I was too sick to just be a kid. If God gave me that chance, I, too, would say "Yes."

    Super good job with this!

Honestly, I wouldn't change anything I've done in my life. Mistakes are meant to be corrected. A person should learn from the errors in life. However, you do get your point across without getting preachy in the process!

    Good write.
