There are certain hours of the day when the hospital is actually quite quiet and that allows for moments of peaceful thought. And now that my eyes are opening a little I can sometimes see what I think are pretty faces.
What I really like about the quiet moments, when the elderly patients stop their shouting, is that I can think about that snapshot in time, that misunderstanding, that landed me here.
I was walking though one of the rougher sections of town, the part down by pigeon park. Silly me thought it was a good place to take pictures of birds but that wasn't what I found there.
The police officer who stopped me must have been attacted to my camera perhaps thinking I was a drug user or a thief looking to pawn a cheap digital camera. When I said it was mine he asked if I was a drug user. If I could prove I had no tracks. Being the innocent I was, the only tracks I could think of were those in dirty underwear. It's the part after I showed him I was clean I am trying to remember.
I am looking foward to lunch today. They said I could try some mashed carrots.

No, of course I got it, funny too. Ah how sad we naive folk are when thrust in places we don't belong. Mariza sent me here because I mentioned skid marks in underwear (not mine, honest! lol) and so she mentioned just reading this story. I'd say, Great minds think alike" but that would reduce you to my low level, lol.
Yum, mashed carrots...and tomorrow mushy mashed potatoes.
Reminds me of a story in the news today about a beligerent cop who got video taped by the guy he was badgering. See, your character's flaw wasn't his judgment on who to film but what to film with!
