I looked at the picture on the night stand. A family picture. A child with bright blue eyes and long brown hair. She was probably 1 1/2 years old. The next picture over was a man with blue eyes and blond hair, in his blue army uniform. The background was red, the picture was in an oak frame. 1
I rolled over in bed to look at the empty area next to me where Chris was supposed to be lying. He head shape was molded into the pillow, sort of round with a bump here and there for his hair. I looked at the clock, 6:30, two more hours and then I can get up. I lay on my side, eyes closed trying to sleep. My insomnia overcame me, I lay awake for the next two hours thinking about him. I finally decided to roll out of bed. I hoped into the hot shower awaiting me. I got dressed in my favorite red suit, a jacket with three red buttons, a white shirt, and a red skirt with black shoes. Outside the door lay the news paper and the mail. There was a letter from Chris. It was in a pink envelope with S.W.A.K. on the back of it. I opened the letter to read it. It said:2
/Dearest Athena,3
War is.... well war. How are you? I wish I could be back at home with you lying beside you in bed. The conditions aren't all that good here. I barely get to sleep. I will be home next month,hopefully,if they allow me to go home. I believe this war may be over soon. I can't write much more. I'm sorry I have to end but we are moving out. i love you with all my heart and hope to see your lovely face soon. Write back love. 4

I began to cry. I would be seeing him soon. Just the thought of being in his arms made me long his touch. I realized I was late for work. i rushed into the car a drove down to City Hall.7
After a long day at work I crawled into bed to watch some T.V. I felt something move next to me. What was in my bed? I jumped up and screamed. I ran into the kitchen and found my broom then ran back into my room. I pushed off the covers of my bed and saw....8

I'm saying Bush is already killing our people by higher taxes , people in the food lines, higher gas pricing. I'ts time we stand by Kerry , because the Democratic Party always kept us out of the poor house. Like Clinton cleaned up the budget were could start paying for things without being in a cruch. Democratic Party has always kept the nation from going under. Plus Bush is going to stop SSN: from continuing and the "Baby Boomers" are fixing to retire soon. Which I'm in that category, so that is why I'm against any Party that takes from SSN: I know from many centuries that Democratic Party has and always be for the poor, and the Republican party has been for the rich to line the rich with a bigger pay raise and the poor are put out of jobs and have to scrape for any job they can get. This one was better than the first chapter. More descriptive. I like mucho. No I want to know what she saw in her bed!! I think the story might be moving a little too quickly. We'll then again, not really. But its sorta jumping from topic to topic. But I'm guilty of that too... my stories moving fast too! ahh. lol well I liked this chapter alot. cant wait for the next one.
