The stronger the string,
The more tightly it is strung.
Unfunnily, it snaps more easily,
And degrades in the sun.
There is no such thing as a knot,
As two broken ends remain apart -
Only stretched together,
Only laws keeping them from falling apart.
Once the string has snapped,
Never again may a new string be;
The ends are twisted,
No two can be fitted,
The broken strings dangle out their days with no glee.
