I didn't get a chance to rewrite it yet... but my daughter wanted it back up...1

It's dark, and a young woman is all alone. She sees something in the distance, it looks like a person... then as he walks closer, and she sees his teeth.... They are bright white, reflecting the light from the light posts. He has dark brown-black hair and it seemed as if a shadow was to cover his face no matter where he was. As she realizes that she is in danger, she runs as fast as she can, but he catches up to her and grabs her arm and turns her around. She stares straight into his eyes, so dull and gray.... He inclines her neck and goes to bite-3

"AHHHHHHHH!" screams Noelle. It was her dream. She's dreamt this every night for months now. She gets up and goes to the bathroom. She splashes water onto her face and looks into the mirror. She's a beautiful young woman with bright green eyes and blonde hair. She just moved away from home into an apartment, alone. She hasn't started her college life yet. 4

She turns back towards her room. "I wonder how many hot guys I'm gonna meet when I start school," she thinks, heading back into bed. The dream forgotten, she gets back in her bed and pulls up the covers. She falls asleep quickly.5

The next morning, Noelle wakes up early. Stretching, she sits up. She gets on some sweats and heads to the gym, with her gym bag over her shoulder. 7

While jogging down the street towards the gym, she accidentally bumps into a young man in a black trench coat.8

"Oh, I'm so sorry..." then she looks up and recognizes the man. It's the man in her dream... the vampire. She finds her staring at him and him staring at her. She quickly turns her face away from him.9

"Sorry, you look familiar," says the man. "I'm Dominic, by the way."10

"I'm Noelle, and you look familiar to me too..." she says quietly. 11

"Like from a dream." she ads quietly.12

"Umm, sorry but do you wanna meet up tonight?" asks Dominic.13

Noelle looks at Dominic inquisitively, "You mean, like a date?"14

Dominic looks at his feet shyly. "Yeah..."15

Noelle smiles happily, "Yes, I'd love to, does 8 'o clock at Rotisserie Bautista sound alright?"16

"Sounds great. I'll see you then."17

Dominic turns and walks away. Noelle smiles smugly and starts jogging to the gym again.18

At 8 sharp, Dominic arrives at Rotisserie Bautista, looks around and realizes that Noelle isn't there. For the first time in his life, a girl has shown up late for a date. Dominic asks for just water and waits. 20

20 minutes later, Noelle walks through the door. She looks more beautiful to him than the first time he saw her, even in his dreams. Noelle notices that he looks very handsome in the dim candle light of the restaurant. He seems to be even more appealing to her than before. Noelle walks over to the table and Dominic pulls out her chair for her and she sits down in it.21

"Sorry I'm late. My mom called me and made me talk to her for an hour. She just doesn't know how to leave me alone."22

"All mothers are like that. I remember when I first moved here my mom would call every ten minutes and check in on me." Dominic replies quickly. 23

"Why do they do that though? Do they think that we can't handle ourselves?"24

"Naw. It's just cuz they love us." Dominic's eyes glowed brightly, reflecting the candle at their table. 25

"I'm sorry, but I have to ask, what color are your eyes?" Noelle inquired.26

"Green some days... brown others... pretty much hazel."27

Noelle smiled and the waiter came to take their orders. [Wow], thought Dominic [and I thought that she wouldn't be here. This is probably the first time in months that I haven't been passed up on a date.]28

They both talk to each other about different things; their lives, past relationships, practically everything. Then, they get onto the subject of dreams...29

"So, do you have any re-occurring dreams," inquires Dominic.30

Noelle looks at him for a second, as if to ponder the question. "Umm... actually I have a very strange dream... and you're in it. But you're different, you're not you."31

Dominic seems surprised. "How so?"32

"You're a vampire. Sounds dumb doesn't it?"33

"Actually it doesn't. See I have dreams that I'm a vampire. In fact, when I was younger I used to want to be a vampire. It's weird though. You never appear in my dreams... maybe tonight huh?" Dominic says, winking at Noelle, laughing. Noelle laughs along with him, not even realizing that he may be right, but not the way he thinks.34

Dominic heads home after walking Noelle over to her apartment and senses someone... or something... following his every step. He starts to jog home and thinks that he loses it. He gets into his room and collapses on his bed and falls right to sleep....36

Dominic is walking down the boulevard on a dark, moonless night. He's starving for human blood. He looks up and ahead of him is a young woman, beautiful and fresh. He walks after her as she walks faster and faster. She starts to run. He chases after her and catches her arm and bites her neck. He looks at her face and it's--38

"NOELLE!" Dominic screams as he shoots up in bed. Panting, he looks around. He notices a shadow on the wall and looks at the window.39

There, there's a man, standing, calmly, silently. 40

"Well, you have finally awoken..." the man says finally, in a gruff, dry voice.41

"Who are you?"42

"I am known as Marius."43

Dominic laughs, "Marius, as in the keeper of Those Who Must Be Kept? That's funny."44

Marius looks into the young man's eyes, "Yes actually. And I am here for you... to make your dreams come true..." 45

Noelle is lying in her bed, staring at her ceiling, thinking about her day. [I wonder what Dominic is doing right nowÉ] she thinks to herself. [I should call him... I might wake him up though....]47

She picks up the phone anyway and dials his number.48

After a few rings, Dominic picks up the phone.49

"Hello?" says the groggy voice at the other end of the phone line.50

"Oh I'm sorry... I woke you up didn't I?"51

"Oh no, not at all... I was just startled by the phone ringing. What's up?"52

"Just wondering what you were doing...." Noelle shyly ads, "And thinking about you."53

Dominic is shocked, "why?"54

"'Cause..."55

"Hey, do you wanna meet me again?"56

"Sure, when, where?"57

Dominic thinks for a while, "How about over at the corner where the restaurant is, right now?"58

"Sounds good, I'll meet you there. See ya."59

"Yeah bye." then there was a click and Noelle got dressed. She noticed that she was dressing more carefully than she had when she went to the restaurant. She looked in the mirror in her room and decided that she looked great and left.60

"Are you sure that this is what you want, Dominic?" inquired Marius.62

Dominic nodded his head quickly, "Yes, I'm very sure." Dominic inclines his head slightly. Marius pulls Dominic closer and bites his neck very hard. Dominic starts to get dizzy and his legs collapse as Marius drinks him to the brink of death. Marius pulls away quickly and cuts his wrist, offering his wrist to Dominic.63

"Drink, my son."64

Dominic grabs Marius's wrist and drinks. He drinks and drinks. Marius starts pulling away, "That's enough, my son."65

Dominic reluctantly lets go. He stares into MariusÕs eyes; "I'm still alive aren't I?"66

"Yes... but your body will soon die." Just as Marius says that, Dominic's body starts convulsing as his body starts to die.67

DominicÕs body twitches, on his face he is wincing in pain from his body dying. He looks for Marius. Marius is by the phone, on the phone. His voice is indistinct. Dominic closes his eyes and a few minutes later, he opens his eyes. He slowly sits up and looks around and sees a candle burning. He becomes fascinated with the flickering of the flame. 68

Marius stands in front of him, urging him to stand. He does so, still staring at the flame.69

"I now understand what Louis meant when simple things to human eyes fascinated him so when he became a vampire."70

"Yes, but now you must feed on a human, keep yourself alive."71

And so Dominic walks out into the night, dazed, as if he was in a dream.72

Noelle is waiting on the corner, with a very concerned look. [I wonder where Dominic isÉ hopefully he gets here soon. I hope nothing happened to himÉ.] Her ears pick up the sound of someoneÕs footsteps; she nervously turns around to see that there is no one there. SheÕs in awe, she swore to herself that she heard someoneÉ then she brushed it off as her mind playing tricks on her. She starts walking down the street towards DominicÕs. 74

She notices that where she is, is exactly where she was when Dominic bit her in her dream, then she laughed it off. [Vampires arenÕt real, what am I thinkingÉ vampires coming out of nowhere, thatÕs funny.] As she walks, she hears the footsteps getting closer.75

She starts to turn around again when she feels cold hands grab her around the throat and feels cold teeth hit her neck. She screams and looks at the face of her attack her. 76

To her shock, it is Dominic. "DomÉ Dominic???"77

All of a sudden, Dominic stops and looks at her face, into her eyes. HeÕs in shock. "NoelleÉ oh God noÉ."78

He looks to Marius, who is standing over the both of them.79

"Marius, I canÕt kill her! I know herÉ and I think IÕm in love with herÉ"80

"Then, make her a vampire, itÕs that easy."81

Dominic bites his wrist, "Noelle, please, drink my blood, be with me, please. Please, live."82

Noelle drinks as Marius tells them both what to do, how much for her to drink. As NoelleÕs body starts to die, Dominic looks at Marius, "You planned this didnÕt you?"83

"Possibly, my son. Possibly to replace my children whom abandoned me when I needed themÉ"84

"You abandoned themÉ. DonÕt blame them for the things that you do!"85

"You think that just because you have read these stories, it doesnÕt mean that they are totally true. Lestat left me. Armand left meÉ" Marius looked as if he was going to say something else but he looked up and stopped.86

Dominic and Noelle looked in the direction that Marius was staring to see another vampire. They look back and forth between the two vampires, trying to figure out which the other vampire was when all of a sudden, he spoke.87

"Marius, you left me. All because I saw Akasha and Enkil. Why? Why do you say that I left you?"88

"No one asked me if what you said is true, Lestat."89

"Marius, friend, let us together teach your new children of the world, not of now, not just of the past, but of our futures."90

"Of course, all you ever wanted was a companion and now you have found twoÉ it is all their choice of course."91

By this time, Noelle had died and come back to life as a vampire. Noelle slowly stands up, looks from Marius to Lestat to Dominic. She offers Dominic a hand to stand up. "Come my love, we have much to learn from these two. And possibly we can see the world."92

Dominic takes her hand and they walk off into the night following their teachers to learn everything they can.93

Months led to yearsÉ years led to centuriesÉ Noelle stood by DominicÕs side wherever they went. Lestat has had enough of the lovers and wanted Noelle all to himself. He was planning on their romantic get-away for that night. She was going to leave with him, no matter whatÉ be it against her own will or freely. Dominic and Marius are out for the night, looking for someone to feed upon. 95

Lestat is setting up a table with a candle-lit dinner planned for just himself and Noelle. Noelle is walking along the corridors of their mansion and comes across the room Lestat is in at the moment. 96

"WhatÕs going on here?" Noelle asks inquisitively.97

"Oh, nothing," replies Lestat. "Just making us a lovely dinner. Do you mind at all?"98

"Oh no, of course not. WhatÕs on the menu?" Noelle asks jokingly.99

"Anything you want, love."100

"Love?" Noelle repeats, confounded. "Why are you calling me ŌLove?Õ"101

Lestat moves swiftly towards her and grabs her around the waist, bringing her close, "Because I love you" whispers Lestat. As he goes to kiss her, she inclines back.102

"You love me? ThatÕs not true. You just need a companion and youÕre afraid of Dominic and I leaving."103

"NO!" Lestat looks at her, holding her tightly. "I truly love you, why donÕt you believe me?"104

"You loved your mother, no one else!"105

"And how do you know? Are you in my mind like Claudia was? Hopefully not. I care about you. Why donÕt you see that?"106

Noelle doesnÕt have a clue what to say. She, herself, had been thinking about stealing away with Lestat if he ever left. He fascinated her, how he hunted, how he lived. She shyly looked down as Lestat loosened his grip on her.107

"What is that look for, love?" Lestat asks.108

Noelle stares into his blue eyes as she answers softly, "Because, IÕve always wanted to leave with you, to go with you on your adventures around the world.109

Lestat sighs and stares into her eyes. "Love, I would take you to the ends of the world if you wanted. If you want the stars, I will take you up with me and let you pick them out of the sky."110

"And if I were to slip from your grasp, Love?" inquires Noelle.111

"Oh, if you were to fall, IÕd fall after you and catch you in the air, long before you would ever touch the ground."112

Lestat lifts his hand to her face and brushes away a tendril of hair from her eyes. Noelle stares into his eyes, fearing that she would fall into the depths of his blue eyes. Lestat lowers his mouth to hers and they kiss.113

Passion is passed between the two lovers for, as it seemed, a long time. Noelle shyly turns her head to end this passionate embrace of lips.114

Lestat puts his fingers under her chin and lifts her head and looks into her eyes. "What is wrong, my love?"115

"What am I to do about Dominic?"116

Just as Lestat was about to answer, someone answers her question for her. "Nothing! IÕm leaving you!"117

"Dominic!" answers Noelle. "I didnÕt mean for this to happen!"118

"Oh sure, you just let this creature, who doesnÕt care for anyone but himself, enchant you into believing that you actually want to be with him. Now you will never know for sure, IÕm leaving."119

Dominic turned to walk away when he sees a beautiful woman staring at him.120

"Who are you?"121

"You should know me as Pandora," she replies.122

"Whatever."123

Dominic walks out of their sanctuary, only to run into Pandora again.124

"What do you want?" inquires Dominic.125

"I saw the entire thingÉ they care for each otherÉ. And I see in your eyes that you care for me and yet you barely know me."126

"Your point?"127

"Let them travel together, and you can travel with me. I know that you were, and still are, fascinated by Egypt and the worships there. I could show you and teach you."128

Dominic stares into her eyes. "You mean what you say, donÕt you"129

"Yes, I doÉ I need a companion as does any other vampire ever created."130

Dominic looks at her, surprised at what she was saying. She takes his hand and pulls him into another room, away from Lestat and Noelle.131

"I donÕt care is the others can hear but IÕve been studying youÉ watching you, for much longer before Marius met you."132

"Since I was a kid?"133

"Even when you lived in Louisiana for a year."134

Dominic was shocked that anyone knew about that. He had gone to New Orleans looking for Lestat and Louis, even before he knew that they were realÉ before he knew that vampires were real.135

"You seem surprised, D"136

"Wow, you even know my old nicknameÉ but why did you follow me and watch me for all those years?"137

Pandora looked away, as if to think about the question.138

"I think I did because I was looking for a companion and saw one in you. Would you consider travelling the world with me? Learn all you need know?"139

Dominic shook his head. 140

"I never dreamed this would happen to me." And he looked into her eyes and said, "IÕd love to Pandora." And as they went to kiss each other, some one swept open the door.141

"HONEY IÕM HOME!"142

Pandora and Dominic quickly look at who entered their room so rudely and saw that it was the owner of the house, Amelia. Dominic looks away quickly.143

"AwwwÉ is Dominic still shy towards me?" Amelia asks as she walks over and gives him a sisterly hug. Dominic smiles shyly.144

Amelia smiles back at Dominic then says to Pandora, "I know that I burst in here but I had to say hi before I left to Egypt. Hey! HereÕs a brilliant idea, why donÕt you come with me you guys? Come on! ItÕll be fun!"145

Dominic looks at Pandora, uncertain of what to say. Pandora looks away.146

"IÕd love to but Pandora wanted to take me."147

Pandora looks to Amelia as if to say "Go away" but Amelia ignores her.148

"ThatÕs cool. If you change your mind, donÕt hesitate to call for me. I can hear calls better than Lestat," Amelia replies sadly. She really wanted to get to know Dominic and didnÕt want anyone to interfere, but she seemed to have been too late. Amelia turns and starts to walk out of the room, when Dominic calls for her.149

"Amelia!"150

Amelia turns back to Dominic.151

"IÕll go with you. IÕd love to see the world with you."152

Amelia smiles then reaches out her hand and he takes it and they walk away from Pandora. Pandora looks around herself sadly, thinking she was totally alone when she hears a voice.153

"You really think he would resist her?"154

It was Marius.155

Pandora nodded and sighed. "I guess no one can resist her except us."156

Marius leads Pandora to a couch that was in the room. 157

"My love, why so glum?"158

Pandora sighs and looks towards the man she once loved. She sighs again, sadly.159

"Maybe I could travel the world with you, like we had always wanted."160

Marius smiled and takes her to his coffin and lays her down inside, then lays with her. They hold each other, planning all the adventures they could do with each other, all throughout eternity.161

The sun came down one glorious day a few years later. Lestat wakes and sees who is in his arms. Noelle stirs a bit but doesnÕt wake. He smiles and kisses her forehead. NoelleÕs eyes flutter open and she looks into his blue eyes.163

"Sleep well love?"164

"YeahÉ" Noelle looks off, a little sad.165

"WhatÕs wrong hun?"166

"I just have a feeling that I totally lost Dominic."167

Lestat lifts the lid to the coffin and pulls her up.168

"Maybe you havenÕt. I havenÕt seen neither Pandora nor Dominic for a while, maybe theyÕre all resting."169

Noelle shrugs then suddenly turns her head as if to sense someone coming.170

"Lestat, who is that?" Noelle points to a beautiful woman, almost totally hidden by the darkness of the crypt. Lestat sees her and gasps.171

"Gabrielle?"172

She steps out of the darkness slightly.173

"Yes my beautiful son. It was hard for me to find you, Lestat."174

Lestat walks over to his mother and looks into her eyes. Noelle stays back and is quiet scared of this vampire. Gabrielle sees her and smiles.175

"You donÕt have to fear me, young one. I mean no harm to you."176

Lestat smiles and pulls Noelle tightly into his arms. Noelle giggles and wrapped her arms around his waist. Gabrielle smiled at Noelle, then looked at Lestat.177

"I just wanted to say good bye for right now."178

"Good bye?"179

"Yes, IÕm going to restÉ sleep."180

Lestat looked at her sadly and Gabrielle put her hand on his cheek and smiled.181

"IÕll come back, you know I will be back."182

Lestat sighed and gave Gabrielle a hug. Noelle followed his lead and hugged her too. Then, Gabrielle smiled and turned around and walked out. Lestat sighed again and Noelle hugged him and kiss him. Lestat smiled.183

"Come on, love. LetÕs go feed."184

Noelle took him by the hand and they went out into the night.185

One day, many centuries later, Lestat and Noelle were hunting a dark alley for any murderer or villain who crossed their path, when suddenly they heard the sound of a woman screaming. They ran as fast as they could to find where it was coming from. They came upon a young woman lying in the street, crying. Noelle put her hand on the womanÕs shoulder and frowned. 187

There were bite marks on her neck and she was dead. That would be a sign of only one vampire. Amelia. They looked at each other and grinned and ran back to their home to find Dominic and Amelia on the couch laughing and talking about their adventures.188

Noelle ran up to Dominic and hugged him tightly, kissing him all over; happy for his return, while Lestat and Amelia glanced at each other and looked away quickly.189

"Tell me everything!" Noelle asked persistently.190

Dominic smiled softly and started telling her everything. Lestat was barely listening, the entire time; he was looking at Amelia. His eyes full of wonder [I wonderÉ.]191

Amelia looked up at Lestat and looked away blushing. She whispered something in DominicÕs ear, got up and went to her bedroom. Lestat followed suit.192

"Amelia," Lestat said as soon as they were safe in her room.193

She turned quickly and without saying a word asked what he wanted.194

"Welcome home, IÉ I hope you will stay here, with me." He finished.195

Amelia was awestruck. "What about Noelle? You two are happy together it seems."196

Lestat shook his head. "I have grown weary from her. SheÕs nothing like you. You made me happyÉ I think you will always make me happy, Amelia."197

She blushed slightly.198

"Amelia, will you be my companion?"199

Amelia was struck speechless. As he awaited her reply, he walked close and put his hand on her cheek.200

"No matter what you decide, I will always want to be with you." He kissed her lips softly and pulled away slowly. She caught him before he moved to far away and kissed him passionately. Their kiss seemed to last all eternity.201

She pulled away, frustrated with herself.202

"WhatÕs wrong, love?"203

"What am I to do about Eric? HeÕs to awaken soon and I must be with him or my duties are not fulfilled and you know this Lestat," she said exasperatedly.204

Lestat frowned and walked away.205

"Why else do you think I came home, Lestat? Eric is mine to awaken and he wanted to be awoken soon. He is here in my home unless you destroyed him and if you did, you know I would kill you."206

Lestat turned around and looked at her. He was close to tears but refused to cry. "ThatÕs fine, darling. JustÉwhen he decides to abandon you, donÕt come crying to me." Lestat left her with that and Amelia went down the hidden hallway to EricÕs coffin. She lifted the lid, kissed his forehead, bit into her wrist and let little droplets of blood go into EricÕs mouth.207

He awoke with a start and scared Amelia extremely deeply.208

"I liveÉ" he said slowly.209

Amelia nodded and helped him out of his coffin. They went, arm in arm, out into the world, to see what new adventures they could complete.210
