Hmm. You ever wondered what boys are like? They never make any sense at all. Take this for example. 9

“No something’s wrong. You’re not fine.”10

“I said I’m alright. Honestly.”11

That was a convo between Jay and me earlier. It was really obvious that Jay wasn’t alright… Why is it that boys are really crap at letting their emotions out? Is it a boy thing or something? God. They never make sense. One minute I’m talking to Jay normally and the next he’s making excuses about going for dinner and stuff. Weird! 12

I’m really going to miss Jade. I don’t want her to go to America. We promised that when we were old enough we’d both emigrate to America and go to Canada and Australia and go backpacking for a year…But here we are…She’s going with out me. Its gonna be really weird without her…I dunno what I’m gonna do…I’ve known her since primary school but she’s leaving me now…God. 13

Tomorrow we’re supposed to be going shopping. We’ve meeting at the skate park but I’m not looking forward to it, with me and Jay not being too good at the moment. And its not just Jade that’s going, all of us seem to be splitting up. I dunno how, and I don’t know why…Me, Jay, Jade, Raquel, Dominic, Diego, Jude…we’ve been friends since I can remember…and we used to be inseparable but now, they’re always busy and we hardly ever talk unless its on the net. I dunno. Ooh message from Jay14

“Look I’m sorry for earlier, but I’m fine. There’s just a lot of shit going on and I’m really confused and I didn’t mean to get all leary at you Ria”15

“That’s okay, don’t worry about it”16

Well, what else am I gonna say? “No Jay why don’t you speak to me for once and stop being a pillock?” Nah. At least he’s trying…17

Which is more than I can say for Diego. The world’s most annoying twin brother. Technically, he lives with our dad and I live with our mom. We stay at our mom and dad’s for a month and then we swap around. Nah Diego’s all right I suppose, but what 15 year old actually likes their brother? Not me, but he’ll do. All right, I’m being a bit mean here. Its not Diego’s fault he can’t speak, I’d get frustrated too if I were him. He used to have a spark in his eyes but then as soon as he found out he had this disability, it just vanished. Just like that. It was out like a light…And every time I look into his eyes, I can see the pain he feels. I wish there was someway to put the spark back into him…18

I hope tomorrow will be okay; jay and me had another argument. I dunno what it is with him and me… Oh message19

“Look Ria, there’s no point moping around about it. Jade is going and there’s nothing you can do about it. Do you even know why she’s going? Nope.”20

“Yeah I do know why she’s going. Its because her family are moving there, and her dad’s got a new job.”21

“Oh Ria. If only that was the reason”22

“Alright Mr. Big shot who knows everything, what’s the real reason that she’s moving to America”23

I can’t believe Jade told you and not me! I’m her best friend! 24

“I can’t tell you. Jade made me promise not too. And think about it, if you guys are such good friends, how come she didn’t tell you and she told me…?25

I blocked him at that point. Jay must be lying…I couldn’t handle anymore. But maybe Jay was right…Jade didn’t trust me enough to tell me the real reason she was leaving. Jay was probably lying…I mean Jade would tell me first…right? She would…wouldn’t she?26
