my last call

I picked up the phone shaking, "hello hunter residence Mark speaking" I heard the voice I knew so well pick up the line. "hi mark whats up?" i asked tryig so hard to sound normal. "Hey ellie whats up? you sound upset?" *was that worry in his voice?* i thought, I didn't wanna live to find out. 1

"Mark I just called to say goodbye Mark, you can't stop me, today, I end it all. Tonight I am going to die. I have tried to be strong but I just wanted to call and say i love you and goodbye once and for all. 3 words.." with that I hung up leaving him with a dial tone. I walked calmly back into my room and picked up my razor. I heard the phone ring, with his special ring. As the answering machine picked up I heard his voice. 2

"Ellie I know your there, I can't belive your doing this, i know i can't talk you out of it, your more stubborn then I am about this. But I want this to be the last thing you hear..." his voice was tired, I shouldn't have called him. As his voice stopped I heard a song playing, "hymn to the sea" started to play through my house. I looked at the knife and threw it down. I walked in and picked up the phone, "mark I'm here, barley but im here." i said quietly. "god ellie don't scare my like that. I was so worried." he sounded like he has been crying but i said nothing about that. "your not rid of me yet...not today.." "good." he replied.
