I got up and walked back into the shadows, darkness was comforting in a way that no one could really understand. At least that is what I believed, maybe that women felt the same as me; I wouldn’t get my hopes up, I learned never to get my hopes too high. Alex came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders, how thankful I was to have him. Closing my eyes I leaned against him.
“Do not worry so my love,” he whispered into my ear, “We’ll find her ok, before long we will.”
I nodded my head in agreement, what else was I suppose to do? I felt lost for some reason, it was as if I had lost myself, I turned in his arms and kissed him passionately on the lips. Smiling, I pulled back and laid my head upon his shoulder, he was strong and powerful, just what a man should be like and what I needed.
“I believe we are wasting day light we should be on our way.” I said, walking to my cloak, I picked it up and bundled it up as it disappeared from my hands.
Alex sighed and followed, starting to pickup his belongings. “I think so too.” He replied.
He always seemed to make everything ok, but now he wasn’t even helping it any and that was scaring me a bit. I closed my eyes, sighed, and at last got myself together; I could feel times were changing along with the people!
Alex stood up and looked towards me asking, “So Lita, which direction do we head towards?”
I kept my eyes closed and took a deep breath in, “We head towards the sea, a new town has been built there sense we last came here,” I said. The tug on my soul was determined to get me there, until I found out weather the source of it was bad or good I would follow it.
Alex merely nodded and took my hand into his, “Well then let’s get going love.” He said with a perk as a spark shot in his eyes.
It was amazing how one simple soul could love another so greatly that it could tame even a wild heart. Yes, as a matter of fact Alex did tame this wild heart; he tamed it with his pure and true love. Flames engulfed both him and I as I turned to face him, the first scent was strong, it was carried on a breeze the about lifted me up and away the scent was of salt, the ocean. Taking in a deep breath I exhaled, it has been a while sense I last saw the ocean, I wanted to savor every bit of it.
I opened my eyes slowly I wanted to cherish this moment and save it as a memory of Alex, the ocean, and the sharp pain that just hit my heart and mind! I gasped out loud and clutched my arms around my chest, it was strong and painful and I couldn’t stop it. Alex rushed to my side, picking me up he held me close and asked what was wrong, I couldn’t answer him back as I blacked out.1
“Wake up Lita!” A rough voice commanded.
This voice was so familiar it almost sounded like… no it couldn’t be he was with Keo many lands away; but how could I hear him? I stirred a bit and sat up I was surrounded in darkness shaking it off a bit I stood to my feet I felt weak and dizzy but caught my balance.
“Lita, your not imaging anything it’s me,” the voice said again, now it sounded more like a growl and the voice was deeper then any human.
I sighed a bit, the voice was Fireblood! How good it was to hear his voice again after what felt like forever. “Fireblood, where am I?” I asked as I ran my fingers through my hair trying to figure out which direction his voice was coming from.
A lightening blot stuck across the sky and lighted a torch; causing a chain reaction it lighted more torches around the room. Final being able to see I saw that I was with all my dragon family all five of them were there and I was filled with joy to see them again. However, this time they seemed different towards me, something was going on and I had no idea as to what they were doing. Fireblood, sat in the middle of the five dragons to his right sat a blue dragon named Crystalflame, then a golden dragon named Breathetaker. To Fireblood’s left sat a bright red dragon named Flamelust, and on the other side of the red dragon sat a deep green dragon named Oakfire.
The entire dragon’s looked ancient but Fireblood stood out the most he was twice as big as the other dragon’s and he looked wiser then the rest. A pitch black nightmare dragon he was the last of his kind and he wasn’t planning on going anywhere anytime soon. Like every dragon every scale on his body glowed with such beauty that they would be mistaken for gems. Fireblood has four horns upon his head two long one above his eyes and two smaller ones in front of those and his eyes also a pitch black. Underneath his lower jaw he had a twisted dragon’s beard, his wing span I couldn’t remember but down his back he was built like every other dragon, ridges down the back until the wings. Four legs with huge black claws on each paw, his under belly a smooth black, leading to his long tail that had ridges going down the tail getting smaller towards the end and ending in a point.
I looked at the other dragons, the other four were much younger then Fireblood, but all had their share in wars and years, of course except for the oldest. I laughed a bit but stopped as Fireblood growled at me, “Do you know where you are at Lita?”
I shook my head as I looked to Crystalflame, she was a deep blue and every scale shined like a sapphire on her body. I smiled towards her as she wrapped her tail around her instead of it being like Fireblood’s her tail was part of her wings, by that I meant her wings didn’t end as they met the tail, her wings went down the tail. Underneath her wings was a lighter shade of blue along with under her belly. I remembered all female dragons had no horns but they packed a powerful attack when mad; meeting her gaze I met a pair of sapphire colored eyes that held so much passion.
I have had the honor of watching dragon’s my entire life and they are such amazing creatures. Looking down I remembered how I met them all; these five dragons who took me in, but I was pulled away by Flamelust’s voice.
Flamelust told me, “This Lita is a sacred place that we have founded for safety.”
Looking to Flamelust I remembered how much she at first scared me but then she became a dragon that I loved so very much. Every scale glowed just like a ruby, her wings just as red as well as her eyes; she was just like Crystalflame but red. However, all their personalities were different and that is what made them stand out from one another.
Of course Breathetaker explains itself, she is the only golden dragon left in the world, and she was rare to ever see. There was no words that could even begin to express how just well breathe taking she was, her scales are golden and glowed brighter then any of the other dragons did. Her eyes were also golden but had a hint of yellow in them, so all together she just stood out!
Breathetaker looked at me as she crossed her legs over one another, “Lita do you know as to why you are here in sprit and not in body?”
“I’m not dead am I?” I asked sounding a bit scared but thinking about it I couldn’t really die, because they would have bought me back.
